    Anyone above 900-1,000, with most units I suspect it'll start approaching the impossible territory. It's just light-hearted fun, but at the same time, having to use the same unit so many games in a row gives me a pretty good understanding of that unit's capabilities. So it's a little bit of practice too becoming more familiar with each unit since I'm forced to use it exclusively.

    And that boys and girls is why you build chaff. When you realized your mistake at round 5, you had rounds 6,7, and 8 to fix it. Of 9 possible deployments, you only spent 4 of them correcting your mistake. It would be interesting to see what happens by replaying those rounds and making a continuous wave of chaff for the melters to target.

  • @WhoopedGG
    @WhoopedGG3 күн бұрын

    Once I realized the mistake, it was a wrap-signed, sealed, and delivered as far as I was concerned. At that point, I thought shields and Scorpions with Acid would be my best bet, even though I knew I was likely a dead man walking. I just had a hard time justifying placing down 2-3 chaff while he was placing down 2-3 giants. 🤣 Honestly, I had no clue what to do.

  • @WhoopedGG
    @WhoopedGG3 күн бұрын

    Thanks for the comment, Gabriele. I appreciate your support! I think a lot of people would agree with you about the missile. I think the consensus is to limit the amount spent on temporary funds to have a better economy going forward. And that makes total sense. I'm going to push back a little though. And this is just my opinion, of course. I spent 50 supplies and ended up taking out 300 supplies. The game only lasted six rounds, and it was round two, so 300 / 5 rounds = 60 supplies, meaning I have a net gain of +10 supplies compared to my opponent. Additionally, it also led to an easy win in that round. I ended up doing 904 damage to his health, largely because of the Sentry Missile. And I also denied him XP to his units across the board due to it being an easy wipe for that round. So, I spent 50 supplies to: - hit my opponent for 904 damage - deny XP - remove 300 worth of supplies off the board for that round Obviously, I can't tell the future. For all I know he could have had a squad of fangs in front, in which case the results would have been much different. That being said, the value I would have gained from those 50 supplies if I saved them, to me, pales in comparison to the damage I did and the pressure I applied--because another benefit is that he has to be mindful of future opportunities I might look for and plan accordingly. That's just me, though. I could be totally wrong. 😄

    Man I have not put it into practice successfully yet, you get robot build with extra robots from the shop and abilities, you get them the area damage and the kamikaze upgrades so in the end you have at least 2 robots to spwn behind your ennemies. I think it can be very powerful because there is one player for who you can spawn units behind his lines and two players for who you can spawn on the side, it's less advantageous but the chance that he start defending his sides if you don't give me him a hint rounds before are slim. There are a lots of benefits for one you get a lots of robots with abilities and shot so you can be impactful all over the map and second it can mess really badly with opponent armies right from the start. Basically you buy only one bot and you should have 4 for the end game, the ones you get in your army will rank up quickly if you manage them well against the npc.

    I find placing the storm crawlers the turn after he placed the 3 tanks was a bold choice. Sabertooth's have one of the best anti-missile techs in the game. In the end, it didn't matter, but keep that in mind for the next time. Someone can easily click one 200g button to counter those stormies, and they work 1 to 1. 1 saber will completely counter 1 storm, plus alittle extra.

    @@G4Cidib Thanks so much for the comment!! I thought about the Storms into Sabertooth thing. My train of thought: 1. He won't expect them because why would I build Storms into Sabers, right? So I knew he wouldn't have AM immediately. 2. If he invests into AM, I love Storms with EMP into Sabers, especially when they're so close to the front line. So he would have to either invest into static AM, which is dangerous because I was winning at that point, or many more Sabers, which means less Melters :) 3. He's not going to go Mustang AM because he'd have Sabertooth AM. He won't go WF AM, most likely, because if it was that much of a problem, he probably would have went into static or Mustangs first, or Photon Emission. 4. And if he did invest so much into countering Storms, I am, at the very least, funneling his resources into one direction. That was my thought process. 😆 I might be way off, and going a different direction might have been better, but I have taken a liking to Storms with EMP into Sabers.

    My takes (1600). Anyone who disagrees feel encouraged to let me know: Not too much to say in this game as wins are more difficult to advise. Obviously the tarantula/crawler combo positioning is really bad since we know he has at least orange man. Positioning forward is a good choice overall though (even hard pushing would be possible) since your units counter his and it would lower the time it takes for the crawlers to be on top of the stangs/marksmen. Also if you missposition something and all it does is die, it can be good to sell it to make switching up easier and not feed xp. Here trying to patch it up with chaff was the better play, but you could have sold the tarantulas later on. The only other big thing is saw (mentioned this one before) is, you should be pressing replicate and forcing an answer if your opp refuses to counter crawlers. Seeing crawlers hit marksmen or stangs is the definite go ahead to press replicate. This not only gives you tempo, so you can just chill and see what opp does, but can also do a lot of damage, so when you counter opps inevitable next move he will be closer to dying, giving him less time to come up with answers.
