Great to see Danebury in the background! I spent the best part of my childhood half way between Nether Wallop and Broughton and my Grandad often picked up pieces of Roman pottery on and around the Downs. I wonder if anyone has done any detecting around that area.

Still got mine mate, i no this post is old but believe me you should of stuck with it, in mixed mode nothing touches it, yes its the deepest out there, i use a nox but it's playing second fiddle to the jupiter, nice video,

you should really have just wrapped it in a piece of cloth then put it in your pocket and washed it off with clean running water with a very soft tooth brush when you got home. Wiping the mud away by dragging your thumb across the surface of the coin could very easily deface it by scratching it and knock value off it.

i really hope this didnt get taken as treasure trove, its beautiful! i really want to get into metal detecting (i have an 11 acre field, and no one has ever detected on it, but it it covered in practically unmowable tall grass). any tips for a beginner? i have a really bad 30 pound detector that couldnt detect (not a single bar) a pile of silver and gold coins when it was 12 inches away, and i was wondering what you used to start detecting!

You passed from a beautifull nice grade coin whit an good value to a ( propbably ) detail coin hard to sell whit low value. I know this is an exceptional moment and you don't want to damage this awsomme coin but please be carefull.
