Can I ask an honest genuine question to Brian? I am NOT being one of these Twitter a-holes, genuine question. Your leadership and perspectives are phenomenal. I’d love your take on why, despite your amazing leadership, Airbnb customer service model is just broken? Or, maybe Airbnb support isn’t broken/relevant to the survival of the company..since they’re doing well money-wise..and my assessment isn’t accurate.
What is the s1? 51:36
Hi Jessica, have you considered posting full podcast episodes on KZread? I'd prefer watching them here.
This was really cool! Just finishing my undergrad and hearing such stories is really inspiring!
Great podcast, So under appreciated. 1. Could you please remove the blue background. 2. Make the videos full screen. 3. Show only the person speaking in full screen. 4. Add "The Social Radar" as water mark in the video. It will keep the viewers more engaged.
942th Subscriber, came from Lenny's podcast.
I’m so impressed by Jessica! I listened to the Lenny’s pod and oh my god it explains the success of YC so much better. What makes us good as anything, makes us good as people! This is such an important human nature part. Thank you so much! And I wish you could talk more, and tell us more and teach us even more. Your own story is sooooooooooo deserving of attention!! From the age of 21, I’ve been running startup hubs in Ukraine and Estonia, and now we cover the whole CEE. I wish we could invite you over or interview in any way! But please, more importantly, just continue sharing 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Thanks !
The best podcast ever. Thank you
i swear i just had a de ja vu, de ja vu. I am on my phone learning French and this moment 1:29, paused appear. My mom calls and .........i don't know what happen next
Thank you so much for your Channel, really valuable content!♡
Funny ending KEKW
Paraphrasing: "Being a founder can feel like being unemployed - nobody gets mad, if you don't make progress, nothing happens. YC weekly dinners created a lot of urgency - leading to the most productive 3 months"
Exactly what our start up needed to hear.
Love how Brian always refers to Steve Jobs as an example.
though its on podcast still need the full episode
Hey Jessica, would you be able to full versions of the episodes here on KZread as well!
Wonderful, we want the full interview as a single upload ❤
Thanks for the episode but can ye go full screen on the people.
one of my favorite conversations I've heard from a founder ever, so cool to have access to such knowledge!
This is what I've been waiting for long video podcast from Jessica. Thank you.
Loooove that you're releasing these in full in video format. Thank you!
This was such a real conversation about the founder journey. It's also wild to hear and great example of how extreme the highs & lows can be, especially when building a marketplace. A big thanks to Brian for opening up to share this in the two-part interview!
Love you Brian
Can you guys upload chapters?
We will!
YC's chapterme you see in all of their videos 🤩
Yes, full videos, please upload the previous ones if possible. ❤❤
Loving the pod! One suggestion from a big fan: I would love to hear more stories from other YC founders whose startups 1) grew quickly and then plateau or didn't succeed and 2) are still early but in the growing phase. I truly think you have a unique opportunity to share stories that can help other founders understand the biggest pitfalls to watch out for and the decisions they have to make to turn into hypergrowth. While Brian Chesky is always entertaining to listen to, there are so many less well known founders that we can learn from!
My jaw dropped listening to that story. Wow. Thanks for creating a platform where the world can hear it.
The full videos exist!! 🤩🤩
yay full episodes on youtube!
First
❤ this podcasts. Is there a way to see the entire video interviews vs only listening to audio from podcast apps?
This is so helpful. Personal thanks to you Jessica and Levy (and if there's a team thanks to them too). Please keep this channel up.
The productivity of software development has decreased to such a scary low level with all this over abstraction.
Yeah totally, imagine how high our productivity would be if we were all still coding with punch cards.
Fellow nonprofit!
PB with the knowledge! Love yolo launching haha
Can you post the full podcasts on KZread?
Great story!
This podcast is wonderful! Could you please publish the full episodes on KZread, considering they are recorded anyway? ☺
So impressed with Parker and his courage coming out with the truth about David “Putin Bro” Sacks. Someone needs to tell Roelof at Sequoia. Some people still trust the guy 😮 🤢 🤮
Jessica's background is a work of art 😍
Is there a place we can watch the full interview as a video?
I think only audio is available
Would love to see full versions of the video!
Any chance of getting full videos from this podcast? Love these. (happy to help make shorts as well)
learned lisp at 13 or 14! WOW
the good days when it was easy to meet up with Paul Graham :)
Brian hard without a co-founder and hard being a solo founder.
Discipline , Discipline and one more time Discipline
Agreed Brian, resilience and unwavering leadership during a crisis are what define great companies.
