Anybody thinking of utilizing this system should definitely do it. This system doesn’t just replace the old one but it’s the system that Sea Ray should have originally used. FP is a great company to deal with and their product is a very easy install if your even slightly handy with tools and can follow instructions. I have a 2002 300 Sundance. I’m on my third season with this product and it’s foolproof.

I wonder if you could just use a Router and thicker stock instead of the backer for flushing mounting.

Anybody thinking about this replacement option should think no more! I have a 2002 300 Sundance and this install is easy and is much better than original. This is what Sea Ray should have done from the beginning

Why do they still use these, they have been going bad for over 60 years on Ford model cars and trucks. Why hasn't someone come out with a digital one. Thousands of people with motorhomes have these go out every year

I have a 0741R carling switch in a bucket truck that activates the boom. For the life of me I cannot find a wiring diagram to get a replacement . I believe it’s a double throw double pole

Mine was stuck on the "battery connected" side and another video said cleaning and lubricating inside the housing would help. After I did that and put it back together, it got stuck on the "disconnect" side. What gives?

Hi, is it possible to modify the newer Mobella latches? any luck trying? thanks!!!

  • @FPmarine

No they changed the casing so that you cannot take it apart and remove the springbolt. You would really have to bend, pry, and destroy the casing to get it all apart. We keep all of the configurations in stock. www.fpmarine.com

Im a marine electrician by trade and have gone to two service calls for these little guys, one last year and one this season. one was so bad it smoked and melted. both were sea-ray. interesting way to back light. before the times of led.

Some of the smaller inverters that were used in the past would get overloaded. Electroluminescent strips give a smooth even glow rather than the hotspots created by LED. Sometimes you see this type of system used with spaghetti type string lights. LED's through a tube can work also to evenly disperse the light

The switiches typically have wings on the back that you squeeze while wiggling the switch out of the panel.

thanks for the video, great work. Excuse my lack of understanding and please correct me where i maybe wrong: on-off-off setup is a DPDT carling switch? on-off is a SPST carling switch ? is there such a on(momentary)- off- on (normal) type of switch and all of these 'can come with' independent light options (LED?)

I am looking for a 3 way Carling rocker switch, to control lights, is there a rocker switch which has different illumination colours based on selected? An example would red (1) Green (3) and Blue (2) - Blue = illuminated to locate switch in dark (et normal position)

Hi, I hope this isn't too dumb of a question! But I have a Carling VLDA switch, I'm in need of a new switch, but all I can find are VLDA-2, 3 & 4. What's the difference? The switch I have VLDA has no 2 or 3 after the VLDA. I believe this switch is a on/off/on, it's an 8 post, one lamp! Can you help clarify if I have to stay with a VLDA or will the VLDA-2 work as well?
