Videos about Board games, card games and other tabletop games with a focus on whether it works for two players.
The videos are not about games exclusively for two players. The majority of games will be for two or more players, potentially with house rules to make them work as two player games. However there will also be games that are included and even rated highly that don't work for two people, but I will be sure to make this clear.

Can one player choose to keep some cads in hand? Not play them all in a single round, and carry over those unplayed cards to next round?
No. Unplayed cards are always discarded.
Thanks for the short review - I'm glad you pointed out that it takes a bit to learn initially. Sounds like plenty of game to enjoy.
I've been looking everywhere for a normal, basic two player video of this game(without robots or "the trust") instant like and subscribe!
Very clear and concise video thank you. Just one point early on you say that the game is for 2 to 5 players, like a standard ticket to ride. However, I note in the rules it says 2 to 4 players. I wondered if this was a typo in the rules, or there is a reason why only four people can join in this version?
Thank you for the guide, it's very easy to understand
Great explanation thanks
Nice
2:19 "Important that you do drink responsibly." Or: Studiously _don't_ drink responsibly, as I'd suggest.
Thanks for such a good video
Great video! Thanks for posting. I have been on the fence with this game as I try to purchase games that scale well from 2 to 4 players so I can enjoy them one on one with my wife or with our game group. Around 20% of people on BBG state that they would not recommend this for 2 players. What are your thoughts about a 2 player game? Is it still very enjoyable? Thanks!
Great explainer, thanks!

Thank you so much for this video. So clear explained!! ❤😊👍🏼
Thanks for this very clear summary, which I found very helpful!
I dont get why near and far is best at 4 and above and below is best at 2. On BGG, both games have quite a lot of votes concerning the player count. There, BOTH games have best at 3 and recommended at 2 or 4. I have experienced that you can really trust on the feedback of the community. It helped me with every game checking what is the max recommended player count, what game is worth solo and what best to learn. To me there are few factors that favor higher player counts 1. High part is simultaneous (e.g. card drafting games or planning phase) 2. High interaction (= it's worth the additional playtime for a further player because that add to the tense feeling) 3. The game is so short that it doesnt make a huge difference im time, e.g. only few minutes.

i have a question: if you play with 3 players and one is eliminated from the game, does he still draw a hero card in the next round?
I realise this was 6 years ago 😅 but I just wanted to check I wasn't missing a rule somewhere in the rulebook, a tweak for difficulty or number of players or something… Almost every time you battled a ship you added one to the values written on the tokens that you needed. So, for example at 41:11 fighting the British navy which has 8 Long Range, 9 Close Quarters on the token you say, "I need 9 and 10" but the rules state that you defeat the enemy if you equal or exceed the values on the tokens, is that right? In which case you only need 8 and 9 to defeat it, not 9 and 10. Is your 9 and 10 just a mistake or am I missing a rule?
Brilliant video. Thanks
Awesome video !!
Thanks a lot. Very clear explanation. I was finally able to pick up a used copy at a decent price after years and years of looking for it.
Thanks!
Great explanation, going to play it today! Thanks 👌
How would you keep track of who placed what?
2:34 If a player loses to elder signs, the player with the least elder signs wins the game. Summon points are only used as a tie breaker in the situation.
CAN THIS BE PLAYED WITH 9 PEOPLE?? THANKS - GAMER JIM
NICE VID !! -GAMER JIM
Ejoyed this vid. Cheers from 2023! ^_^
How is this different to Kingdomino? Aside from the name? Or is it a rebranding because there were sexist connotations from the original lol
thanks
I thought at the beginning you took 5 rooms and 2 spells then discarded 2 cards before you place your first room?
That's Correct
You’re doing a very good job and its very. Helpful
Thank you for the playthrough. I enjoyed watching it (and subscribed :)) 4 years later, what are your thoughts of this game? Did it survive in your collection? What are your thoughts of its longivity? Did you try its expansions? What other games which you like are scratching the same itch for you?
This helps a lot. However, I am wondering about taking the center pieces, do you take them all like you do with the factories and break what you done use? Or do you only take what you need?
You take from factory all same colors, others go center. If you take all same colors from center, you must also take First player mark and also put your mark one negative points, that broken class list. Every broken class add same negative points. So if you have example 4 broken class, you move your piece -4, on broken class list. Hope this helps. I try also learn this game.
what is the highest stack possible? And what would be the highest score possible? Both within the rules, so each number used only 2 times, with correct placement rules, without expansions or house rules
I wish you would've used the building tile with the bonus on the lower left, instead of burning it with the dragon, so we could see how that one works during the game 😢
How do you get the "shape-tokens"?
