I caught one on a sour gummy worm.
I got a carp and 2 cats carp fishing there a few weeks ago.
I enjoy catching the bait more than I do the monsters 🤙
Sir please do answer are the rotors metal
I like making a dough like bait, I’ll mix beef liver, ground sausage, and ground fish, mashed rice, oatmeal and a bit of flour and let that mix sit in the fridge a couple days so the mash gets nice and soaked with those juices and I’ll stuff some in cheese cloth or those plastic dough bait balls with the holes in them. If u really want it to stink tho u could let it sit in the sun for a day and put it in a cooler on ice in the garage till u go fishing 😂 u won’t want that in your house I promise
I always use live blue gill with a giant bobber. I learned not to set the hook right away. Let them run w the bait and as soon as the stop give them time to eat the bait then set hook
Great video !!
Here from tiktok!
Welcome!
Finger licking good
The live liners are heavier than the regular models in the spinfishers
Ive been buying the spinfisher vi live liners and regular models on ebay for under $100
I’ve heard that they are on eBay. Someone said they are shipping from Australia?
@@BitesandStrikesFishing most of them but not all
Wonder how well it stays on
Do they stay on well? Go through a few boilies in a session?
They do stay on the hook pretty well and survive a handful of boilies.
i think he caught it with hand line and chicken
“Hand line and chicken” 😂
That's small dude just caught a 7 foot 6 267 pounder down the road
Congrats on the big catch!
Bro today I caught giant on one
Thanks man!!
What LBS braid would you recommend for 5ft to 6ft gar ??
100-150lb. They can put a lot of strain on the line with their head shakes and they love to dive into snags. So you want some strong line
@@BitesandStrikesFishing my setup is 65lb main braided line going to 300lb steel wire leader and my reel is a Okuma surf 8k with 40lbs of drag
Sunfish r the best to start off fishing in my opinion. Theyre EVERYWHERE & if you see any brush or cover or even rip rap theres most likely some sunfish
Absolutely. They are a blast too
Leader is too long.
Man I'm hooked on carp fishing! Ive caught about 10 15lbs-40lbs carp my first 2 times. Definitely need a net now. I used old fashioned oat meal and suger with a worm on the hook.
I caught my very first carp with a nightcrawler.
Is that the penn fierce combo 3? I have the same one
It’s the Fierce, but not the combo. I have a different rod
@@BitesandStrikesFishing ok nice
Noted. Good vid
just go noodling like a gentleman. costs you nothing
In Texas it will cost you a few fingers and maybe a hand when a snapping turtle bites them off. But that is better than the alligators that will bite you
Sweet little carp tutorial 🙌🏻
Thanks 👍
Long live carp.. growing up a creek by my house had plenty.. they're fun to catch not a difficult fish to catch corn was as good as anything..i never tried to eat them..i was told if you can remove the mud vein whatever that is it makes a big difference..we used to have a homemade doughball recipe of cornflakes and spinach they seemed to like just fine...i read somewhere they are considered one of the more intelligent fish out there..carp rule
What model penn fierce 5 is that 55ll 65ll?
I have a 3000ll and a 4000ll for carp, buffalo and catfish
That's illegal in my state.
Time to move!!
What’s the rod?
This one is actually a Bass Pro Shop brand, but I typically use Ugly Stiks.
Penn is what I use for salt and Shimano for fresh
Both good brands in my mind
I caught 5-6 buffs right there one day. I guess they were on the move and I got a bit lucky ...
where is the spot ?
I have both - no difference when in use.
Bluegill is way cheaper bait to use and is my favorite. Put 2 hotdogs in a blender to make a paste and add flour to make dough bait. works wonders if you add a bit of vegtible oil, garlic powder and onion powder for catfish. Its by far the most cheap bait
I’ve used just plain hotdogs with great success
To catch big gar like those all ya need is some 2lb flurocarbon
I got a 27 pound catfish with a alive blue gill but you need a good rod
Great video, but when i heard him say that carp have delicate lips i had an asthma attack. Either the common carp in the US will get bitched by the common carp in Russia, or this guy is full of shit because while cleaning a carp i caught (yes we eat them) i spent a good 3 minutes trying with my full force to cut through the lip with my sharp as shit knife.
There’s a clip in the video where I point out a hole in the lips where the hook tore the flesh. I wouldn’t be surprised if the carp in your area are a different species or even have different diets. I’ve caught carps in lakes where they feed of muscles and clams and those carp have thicker callus lips from digging through hard shells.
A friend of mine's Dad caught a catfish by putting seaweed on a hook and casting it in. Now that's cheap
😂 that is cheap!
Thought about getting one
If you got the money I’d say go do it.
Great help! Thanks for the tips!
No problem, good luck out there
Catch some big cats but nice video on these
I have some catfish videos on the channel. They are fun too
Just curious where in texas you fish
Caught a 25 pound carp on chicken breast on Saturday
Carp on chicken? That is the first time of heard of that. I use chicken to catch catfish sometimes
@@BitesandStrikesFishing that's what I was out trying to catch
Your carp was desperate or drunk 😂
People catch catfish with only their bare hands. That is even cheaper
It is, but not here in Texas. Too many alligators, snapping turtles and poisonous snakes in the waters
A san juan worm, ant, or grasshopper fly cost a about $2. You can catch perch anywhere, faster and cheaper.
I think most people would agree that grabbing chicken at the store is faster than going out to find and fish for perch and then fish for catfish.
Illegal in Minnesota
Time to move!
