Why was it necessary to repeatedly show a dead horse? The points made while showing that deceased horse could have been made with live horses or diagrams.

A horse i have never ever forgot, Valiramix. I honestly think he would have gone on to be one of the best national hunt horses ever, An amazing imposing looking horse and so sad how his life ended.

Without doubt any jockey riding over the fences are incredibly brave and highly skilled. In an age where athletes from many sports are horridly pampered, these jockeys stand alone as model athletes and paragons of virtue.

There is never going to be a substitute for nostalgia. I love these memories. My late father was a non gambler but made an exception when he backed AP on Make A Stand . What a slick hurdler and what a jockey!

That's interesting, ive read that horse rearing was introduced to Ireland by the Normans, and that horse-racing and other mounted sports weren't known until the 17th century under English rule.

Watching the constant growth of such a destructive "industry" as Horse and Dogg Racing, simply gives greater credibility to Socialist Planning, Industrialisation and full employment. At least 800 race horses are killed each year by vets and many more are slaughtered cheaply for sausage meat. Justified by "creating jobs". If this is the beat Capitalism can do for work creation, then how on earth can we justify putting down an alternative economic-sporting system which does not rely on or need this destruction?? Not to mention the millions of bankrupt punters.

The Irish certainly are good horsemen worldwide but the very best horsemen ever known in the world history without a doubt are American horsemen in fact Irish horsemen came to the United States by the hundreds n the 1970s for farm manager trainee programs just to learn how to do it right!

If the horses are naturally so good, why do you keep beating them and tying their tongues back during races, and using harsh bits? Why are they killed after retirement? There is nothing natural about that.
