  You need to have an estimate of the application fees depending on how many programs you want to apply to (application fees ranging from 50-120$), then tests like TOEFL, GRE and costs related to that. There is no mandatory cost but you would need money for the tests and applications, at least at the application stage.

  Published research papers are not a requirement. Universities don’t except applicants to have publications, but having publications is an advantage whatsoever. But it’s not necessary. Publication is only an aspect of your CV. The application process is a holistic approach.

  Hi, baa! I am about to complete my master's in geology in about a month. The glamour of the oil and gas industries had me trapped in my earlier semesters until I attended the classes of an extremely inspiring professor from our department. The professor's approach and thought processes on literally anything are beyond my reach, which motivated me a lot to pursue higher studies instead of finding a job in the oil and gas sector. But the thing is, my ignorance of higher studies (PhD) in my earlier semesters made me stay away from engaging myself in any research projects. Now, in my last semester, I am left only with a thesis to earn my master's degree, and I don't have enough time to put in the effort needed to publish it. Thus, my question is, what are the chances of getting into a PhD program in the US without any publications?

  Yes, absolutely you can have a specific area of research interest, be it geographically or otherwise. It doesn’t solely depend on the topic- how narrow or broad it is, you will also need a professor willing to work on your research. PhD is usually research in niche topics- either you are discovering new knowledge or analysis existing research in a new light.

  I am a writer. Yes, that much needed sticker 🤓👌Loved everything about this video 🧡 I feel so calm. Seeing you crocheting took me back to my childhood days when I watched my mother creating so many decorative things by doing so. I always desired to learn this art but my mom would insist me to concentrate on my studies. For many years I forgot about this. After I visited markets in Delhi and saw beautiful crochet ponchos and other woman attires, I again felt had I known to create one myself 😅 Then for few years I forgot. Now, you have re ignited that desire 😂😂 But of course, I won't try it now.

  Another soothing video. 💛🧡 About ideas striking... yes it never happens when I wait for it to come until I gather courage to sit and stare blankly at the laptop screen and re read what I had written earlier in case of stories. In case of poetries, it always happens at night when I want to sleep 😅 I then jot down it in my email draft in mobile. 🌿

  From my side, let me share... After search of close to two years, we found a better rented house and moved to it on January 2. Loving this one so far. Located on the top floor, it has windows. After few days of fog, right now I am seepin lemon tea and enjoying the view of clear blue sky doted with flocks of flying birds in v shape and little bit of sunlight sprinkled here and there. Sights of buildings with strings of clothes on the balconies are not pleasant sights still I can ignore those eye sores. But yes, I wish there were more beautiful trees 🌳 There are only two or three peepul trees to be precise. Happy Winters, Swati!!
