LAPOLE is a unique onboard action-cam mount designed for motorsports. It mounts in the center of cabin, providing the perfect view including track surface and steering input, even better than most of the onboard videos from professional racing series.
The simple but highly functional design guarantees super stable video recording. LAPOLE was fully tested by track day enthusiasts and cars from Ferrari F8, 911, 718, Taycan, GT86/BRZ, M2, M3, Supra, Golf, Tesla Model 3 etc. Some drivers even prefer LAPOLE over the roll cage that bolted on their race cars.
LAPOLE enables more combinations such as with mobile phone(track apps), microphone, LED lights etc.

Hi,how did you change the looks of this display, they look different than standard DJI. What program do you use?
The software is called Telemetry Overlay.
a sunroof??
This is my friend, he bought a second hand 911, the former owner was definitely not a track guy.
Impresive

Same question. How did you overlay the data onto the video on the VBox Lite?
Use V2.1.2(a stand alone software) then select the scene made in Video VBOX Setup. we.tl/t-peN0JWIwKM
RaceRender works better, supporting CAN data.
How did you manage to use HD Overlay?

何言ってんのか全くわからん😝
Is that RaceChrono on car display? How did you made it work, please? Thank you :)
There is a software called M.I.B, more incredible batches, which is for almost all Volkswagen group car head units. It’s a-bit complicated, you can search and look if there is an available one for your exact pcm software version, if not,the developer will make one once you sending your copy file to him. It’s all free.

I mean video setting. Onboard look fantastic. Fare from GoPro 12black
OK,I use 10bit rate, sharpness is -1, the most important is setting EV to -1.3 or -1.7
but this video is rendered by Telemetry Overlay, it automatically increased the brightness of darker parts. So there is some difference with the original file.
Ok big Thanks !!!
Hi did u make any special setting for DJI or it is basic ? THank u
Action 4 needs the GPS remote to record GPS data in video file. Telemetry Overlay was the only software supporting its data and could do the overlay, at that time.
Data from phone, DRG70 or Action 4?
DRG70
I believe there are smoothing options for your telemetry so it doesn't jump all over the place... Not useful for analysis but will present better in video :-)
Yes, it is the first time test, the original GPS data has too much noise. The speed and G meter are already smoothed in the overlay software. Not suitable for motorsports.
@@LAPOLE_onboard_cam_mount Wow, if that's after smoothing that's shocking! Certainly not very useful, thanks for the video as I was looking at one of these cameras to overlay data on the motorbike :-)
@@krazed0451 IMO GoPro is the best so far(But hero 12 has no GPS, skip it), and it is supported by many softwares(RaceChrono etc.). I did a test, Hero 9's old GPS chip performs better than the new chip used in Hero11, which supports more constellations than GPS, but lowered down from 18hz to 10hz. Although I noticed other guys on KZread got an opposite result. Any way, GoPro did the job well.
@@LAPOLE_onboard_cam_mount Awesome, thanks again!
😮🔥
Glad to see you like it!
Hi how do you get overlays and telemetry? how do you get the time on the car's GPS? it's incredible Thanks a lot
Action4 can log GPS data when paired with DJI GPS remote. A software called Telemetry Overlay can extract and overlay the data to exported video. The timing on the car's PCM screen needs a software batch called MiB(More incredible batches), which unlock android auto function. It should be installed it in the head unit. Then you need an android phone installed with some screen mirror software to project your lap timing app to it through android auto. Not a simple process indeed, but it works.
@@LAPOLE_onboard_cam_mount It's too complicated for me but congratulations what do you think of the garmin catalyst? THANKS
@@laboracar9073 I was the first Catalyst user in China. To be honest, its Ai coach feature is quite useful for learning new tracks, but offers little for familiarized track and detail data analyzing. I like its integrated timing display and camera function, however I prefer an over the shoulder POV, steering input is important for onboard video. Under this POV, the timing on display is also captured in the videos. That's why I add a catalyst camera adaptor into LAPOLE's package.
@@laboracar9073 This is a customer's Catalyst video using LAPOLE. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYttycuNfNTJoLw.htmlsi=AREyV5nCVwHPrk7S
Nice angle, but Garmin says the camera must be high on the windshield and it must be able to "see" the front of the car to accurately position the car on track and be able to give you best hints. Nice driving BTW! ;)
Thank you for your comment. The guy in video is one of our customers. Yes it’s been discussed for many times, but there are always drivers want to use Catalyst in their own way(at least as a video/data logger). And I believe the user finally gets the answer. Here is a recent video from another customer, this view provides the steering input which the default installation lacks. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fXlssc6bj8aTkdo.htmlsi=Eneeh81iJnAUDAtC
@@LAPOLE_onboard_cam_mount Absolutely right, client gets to choose. I also got the answer I wanted, that is is possible to mount it like this and still works fine :))
you created super vlog. 📹
Wow, your drone videos are breathtaking!
Thank you!I like your videos too.
Hello where did you buy your camera mount from? And can fit Garmin catalyst remote camera? Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
Sorry, I don't know why there was no notification about your comment. It might be blocked in some way. LAPOLE is available in Amazon US(steel version), and the latest carbon fiber version(totally new, much better) will be added early next year. There are more videos posted in this channel, which you might also be interested in.
*edit* - searched for 'lapole' and I see what you've done. cool.
Sorry, I don't know why there was no notification about your comment. It might be blocked in some way. Thank you so much for your encouragement. I was the first catalyst user in China and thought it deserves a better mount. So I designed it. Now I have tested LAPOLE with more cameras, and on more sports cars and tracks. There are also a totally new carbon fiber version LAPOLE and a new concept dash phone mount called LAPOLE-Dash for double cam recording which you can find in this channel. They will be on shelf early next year and I am very pleased to invite you to test them when they are available.
I’m having issues with downloading my sessions after, do you have the same issues with the app? It just says download failed. Even crashed on me mid lap one time
I can forward this to the developer. Android or iOS? But I never download any session, I just export files from the app.
@@LAPOLE_onboard_cam_mount iOS. It does it when I try to export the entire 12-15 minute session. Normally no issues when I do it on one lap
Hi, this is Dragy Team. Can you please contact us by email and provide more details? You can you find our official website in the dragy package and the email shown in the website. We will help you to resolve the issue, thanks!
@@LAPOLE_onboard_cam_mount 嗯,謝謝回復
