God this guy is the most professional looking guy I've ever seen!! He's SO very good! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
This is an unpopular but decent selection for "getting busy" activities. Dont judge me. Im gonna be a judge one day.
PSA you don’t have to be a lawyer or investment banker to apply these principles. This is straight up life advice from a true winner.

1. Skills are learned. Shadow someone that is good and learn from them 2. Develop a stragtegic relationship with the client, expland the relationship while it's hot 3. Ask Open ended question and be a good lisenter. Get client to talk about themselves. 4. Be creative, even though it might work looks like you are trying 5. Client needs first (1) Advise for client interest (not in your interest) to establish credibality (2) Convince client you are ALWAYS avaliable when they need you (fk worklife balance lol) 6. Be upbeat, don't share negative things to the client, emotions are contagious. 7. Learn bussiness oritented classes (1) Demystify the jaron, you need to understand the game terms to be inovlved in the game (2) Learn how the bussiness work, how people make decisions
Tony Heytons give little girls the option of competing against boys are not competing at all. This judge should be removed, disbarred and jailed. We will make sure of it. Evil!
30 years on Wall Street and I never met any big bank banker as polished as this guy. Truth is most bankers are not this well dressed, well mannered and well spoken. Many bankers are just street hustlers, tough guys, money grubbers, and liars or thieves.
get women out of criminal law!!!
How to make a great presentation. Stand in the presence of American flag.
Apparently a high percentage of inferior court judges and justices need to watch this video because they seem to be having major problems reading and understanding SCOTUS rulings in Heller v. D.C. (2008), McDonald v. Chicago (2010), Caetano v. Mass. (2016) and NYSRPA v. Bruen (2022). Either that or they're intentionally at "war against the COTUS"!!!
This is the most moving, educational classroom presentation I have seen from a law school on this platform. I have been studying law school professors in the classrooms of some of the most prestigious institutions, and find this one to be the most compelling. I am proud that American law schools, particularly U of V School of Law, are doing their part to bring awareness to students who will be our next prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges. Thank you😢
This is great knowledge.
this aren't secrets to optimal client services. this is a literal life advice.
3 issues at Law 1.) Status 2.) Jurisdiction & Venue 3.) Adjudication Status: What Law, What flag, who’s land? United States citizens are not home. U.S. CITIZENS are not the Americans. The 13 United Colonies of New England (now styled as) THE UNITED STATES INC. are bankrupt, insolvent, and dissolved!
The 3 Issues at Law 1.) Status 2.) Jurisdiction and Venue 3.) Adjudication No status, no jurisdiction! Uphold the Constitution, it’s the Supreme Law of the Land.
🎉
I am in absolute awe of the way that this Professor teaches. Knowledge is without question, POWER!!!
His suit & especially the minimalist tie is perfection
Its immaculate. These things make such a difference.
She is the best professor ever. Speaking clearly ❤
great class
Clients hire you because you’re smart, because you work hard, period, full stop. - great line.
What an insightful lecture! Amazing discussion about tort law that will be helpful for anyone who watch it for the rest of his academic life for sure!
Thanks for all these efforts, ❤❤
Amazing, you are really top-notch in the world of Common Law. ❤
thanks for the video
I am going to watch it again just to write it down.
Excellent presentation. Any way you could create one on standards of review?
When do Investment bankers play? Literally, when is playtime?
Hampton in the summer, client dinners and deal closings.
The Patrick Bateman vibe is strong in this one.
appreciate this
thanks for the video
👌👌👌
Watched years ago. Lost video. Thought about home today and it’s in my recommendations!? Can KZread read minds!? 😮
Jim needs to be President of United States!
who knows twhat's the book and which case?
Thank you Jim Donovan for mentoring me!
Awesome instructor!!
Thank you, UVA for this wonderful video of the great Supreme Court Justice of the state of Delaware. A lot of business entities consider the thick-skinned nature of your state. The geographical location does help. ❤
Thanks 👍🙏
I've watched so many of your videos, and i can't help but think about what it would be like to be in this class.. maybe the University of Virginia is where i should go.
Does anybody know if UV law is doing entire courses in video, similar to this one, but the whole semester? If so, how do I find it?
#3 just sounds kind of stupid. i guess it depends on your job.
This video is actually highly applicable to many different professions when dealing with clients. Great insight!
Interesting framing choice that makes him come off as cold and calculated, ruthless, corporate, and meticulously designed like an Agent Smith. A similar agenda with a warmer, more human, tone and perspective: 1. Know your audience. 2. Be responsive, not reactive. 3. Be honest/have integrity 4. Understand the client's needs 5. Be genuine 6. Be professional 7. Be friendly 8. Be responsive part 2 9. 10. 11. Doing your job: meetings I can't imagine this guy as a happy full-of-life kid, excited about the world. I can only imagine him being born as this 50-something year-old shell of a curated persona. Strange.
What are the housing options for the law students?
Pretty amazing lecturer. I appreciate how the background story was narrated into completion using a combination of skill and instinct. ❤ Thank you so much, Professor.
You know youre a great professor when random people listen to your lectures over coffee every morning lol.
Im interested in law school and looking into the different high end law schools.. i dont know if this school is high on the prestigious scale but I love the teacher's teaching approach.
Oh? Along with this recent Kashmir Hill talk, there are numerous enlightening and worrisome talks about surveillance creep and about surveillance capitalism which ought to help us to better manage/limit the apps and the sites that we use/depend upon. Yet, I think that our well-being and rights and freedoms are not things which are valued by those whose business models thrive on being parasitical. I hope that our international and local tech ethics committees as well as any and all protective systems which help to keep us safe and to protect our privacy and rights quickly catch up with these very fast moving and lucrative parasitical business models/industries. Mind you, I am a wishful thinker while hoping that harmful tech businesses will opt into an ethical business model/mission. Thank you to Kashmir Hill and to Prof Rowe for sharing your time with us and to UofV School of Law for sharing this important talk and discussion. 🌸
I will watch anything Professor Coughlan is willing to talk about lol
