  I use a lot of foam but I'm doubtful this would hold long term. The expansion foam has a lot of air holes and eventually the hardware is going to pop out.

  Yes! I couldn’t get CAT to be ready for the life of me after driving up and down the wazoo until I drove my car at 65mph on the highway for about 10-15. Then had to pick a not so busy frontage road to exit on and just decelerated naturally to about under 20. (If you’re from TX, you KNOW how busy and crazy our highways are). But Stopped at a gas station at the end of my exit and CAT was FINALLY ready! Then drove back home and prayed to GOD my check engine line didn’t turn on again! 🙏🏼

  I appreciate the tips, but seriously this is some serious bs by the state of ca. so in order to pass emissions preventing too many emissions, we are to drive unnecessarily putting more emissions into the air. Make it make sense. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

  You should be able to do this in normal every day driving. It's just people that try to clear codes before a smog check that get into this situation where they have to go out and try to clear the monitors before an registration expiration deadline. For most people with normal driveing patterns they will never have to worry about this.

  The foundation is an asian salt and pepper wing. The jalapeños give it that green pepper angle with heat. I smell five spice or a subset of those. Oyster sauce is the sweetness you’re missing. Owner is Vietnamese so being intimate with that cultures flavors is key to unlocking this recipe. I already tried fish sauce and sugar, but it didn’t match. But i feel im very close. The owner keeps the recipe secret.

  You only have to do this if you have cleared your ECU's memory recently. That can happen if you replace you battery, disconnect your battery or when you take it in for a repair many times they will disconnect the battery for safety. Or if you have had a recent repair and they used a scanner to clear all the memory of the cars computer. With regular city and highway driving you should have set these in a week or so of regular driving. Some cars are stubborn with certain monitors. But no this is not something you need to do regularly. Only special circumstances.

  My wife just received a pair of pants with a security tag attached from an online purchase. Just sort out which side DOESN'T have the ink packets and put that piece in a vice. Then crank it down until the casing breaks open and releases the pin. I wrapped both sides of the tag in plastic as a failsafe. The vise worked like a charm and released the pin without breaking either of the ink vials. The entire process took less than 30 seconds.

  Just FYI.....if you actually wanted to set the EVAP monitor, you need to have anywhere between half a tank and 3/4 tank of fuel in the vehicle and it will set in no time at all.

  Any tips on code p128? Thermostat was replaced but check engine light came back on. How many miles before it goes away? Shops say the thermostat seems fine. They doubt the cooling system has anything wrong with it and if it was the temperature sensor wouldn’t there be more codes? Smog is coming up so I’m stressed out.

  I’ve only drive my car since I replaced it about two weeks ago in town for about 30-40 minutes. It’s a small town though so I break every 1-2 minute.

  This worked for me thank you so much. I’ve been driving my car for the last three weeks and nothing changed the key that worked was driving it for 35 mph for five minutes. I recommend driving through a canyon where people average that speed that way you won’t have to hit the brakes even maybe 5 to 10 minutes.

  Hello happy Friday. Anyway I have both catalytic and secondary air valve monitors still on. I have four brand new oxygen sensors and it still won’t clear. I haven’t E3 9 BMW 528I. And on top of that having an issue with the secondary air valve. in the video it mentions to go 35 miles an hour and then suddenly it changes to 55 miles an hour these speeds specific for specific issue? Is the 35 mph for the catalytic and 55 for the oxygen sensor? Appreciate you putting this video up.I really hope I can get these monitors to clear. By the way, the pump does work power separately.

Because my air-conditioner Vents are doing that Same exact type of thing as i begin to driving my Older model Ford Expedition ! Those air-vent's just Close'up and begin to releasing Warm feeling air thru'out the front Section of my Vehicle. 👌👍

  The replacement capacitance could theoretically be within 20% of the original. I say "theoretically" because the timing may be critical in some circuits, but probably less so for electrolytics (unless it was specifically designed with a tight tolerance).

  I'm gonna comment on a 6 year old video so future DIY'ers have an easier time. 1.Put a small sticker on the bottom area of the screen so the dog can visually see the screen door is closed. 2. When you install the screen door, simply put the bottom rollers in first, Since they're spring loaded, just push down on the door and the top can pop into place. Voila. No bending down and fooling with the bottom rollers. 3. It may be easier on some doors(or for some people) to just cut the cord at the corners. It doesn't affect the performance of the screen and may be a little easier to install. Good video. Thanks.

"Particularly what did it was after driving 55 mph under 3k RPMS for several minutes, then take foot off the gas, leaving in gear, and not touch anything - letting it go from 55 to 20 in gear and not touching the clutch or brake" That is in line with what I have seen in other cars. And even doing it a couple times in a row if you can. That deceleration really works the vvt system.

  @@blackfunkydrummer1 - Reading further on the thread on Rennlist it seems like the software triggering is the way to go. Th ere were a couple recommendations for shops in there if you can find the thread. one guys input: Thanks to forum member PV997, who suggests me to do short test in PIWIS, I was able to reset the vvt/egr with PIWIS. I am original owner of 2016 gts and maintain car myself so I bought PIWIS clone. If you have access to PIWIS just do some short tests in DME > Maintenance and repairs > Short tests. I did 3 specific tests to set vvt monitor. Intake camshaft, valve lift by each bank and valve lift overall system. Each tests took less than a minute. So total less than 5 minutes later I was able to set vvt monitor. During the test car should be in operating temperature with no fault codes. And you have to press and hold both brake and gas pedal. Forget about drive cycle. Every other monitor sets less than 100 miles of driving but vvt/egr will never set so don't waste your time. I think 9A1 X51's hotter intake cam and 1mm extra valve lift make things bit complicated.
