Mega Man 2 - Wily Fortress 1 in a style of modern chiptune

Not even modern. Just not constrained to the limits of a standard NES cart.

I hate how people say this song is overrated, it’s been said so many times at this point that it’s simply not true anymore. Just say you don’t like it. Same goes for Mega Man 2 as a whole. Other than that, good remix.

THANK YOU, I've felt this way for so long and you just put it even better than I could've.

People are only calling it overrated because of the frequency of remixes and covers. It's just that damn good of a song for it's time!

Well i mean, Mega Man 2 Is pretty tame compared to other entries, so for the whole game there's quite a fair point

Yeah, this song is quite overrated. It isn't bad, but people really treat it like it's one of the greatest pieces of music ever.
@RaifSeverenceАй бұрын
People say it's overrated because it is. There ARE better wily stage themes that have come after this. Now that's not saying this theme is bad, it's not. But there are better wily themes out there. The Og version of this is VERY simplistic composition wise.

Hey, loving your mega man 3 videos so far! Just wanted to suggest using an emulator for a PC like Jnes instead of the wii virtual console. This would let you have more than 1 save state, which would make recording much easier for you. keep up the great work!

Thanks for the kind words! That sounds like the long-term solution; maybe one day I'll find something that slots in nicely with my workflow (and hardware limitations--my computer's not the strongest thing ever, sadly!).

Thanks! I've studied physics for a while, so lots of my decisions are based on that: 1) Make keyframes of all the best poses and most epic shots, and fill in the rest with your local onion skin tool; 2) Things (like Cynthia's arm, for example) need to accelerate, so make sure they start slow before speeding up, and make them overshoot a bit and snap back when they make abrupt stops; 3) Long hair and clothes are hard to wrap your head around, but if you think of them as long chains for which each individual link won't move unless pulled on by a neighbor, and won't stop until pulled back by a neighbor, that might help you out. They tend to lag behind when the main body starts moving, and overshoot hard when the main body stops. Basically, in addition to (or even in place of) the 12 principles of animation, Newton's 3 laws of motion help me a lot! If you're just starting out, a bouncing ball can teach you a lot of this stuff. Walk and run cycles are great too. And never be shy about analyzing/copying your favorite animations frame by frame when you're learning a new skill.

This is 100% amazing. I love every bit of this cover. Thank you for making it. Makes me want to finish my Octopath playthrough. Especially since I chose Prim as my MC.
