  those of you who think Perry tried to avoid kneeing Tavares in the head don't know Katey Perry. He's a master - level 'oops' dirtbag. The fight he was forced to engage in was because the players all knew this, on both teams. As did he.

  Why do they allow checking (and fighting) in hockey? If you so much as breathe on someone else in any other sport now even including American football, you're flagged and stripped from the game, fined and who knows what else.

  he did not aim for his head. as it was said multiple times. it was unintentional. he was in a high speed. there was no way he could've moved in time.

  actually what is SCARY is the Leafs training staff - assisting Tavares to get up and watch as he falls over backwards - the first thing you NEVER do - they should have stabilised him and NOT let him attempt to get up - looked totally amateurish and could have led to far more serious injury - his knees also look painfully bent under his body weight - you can only ask - WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING - WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY DOING ???

  they didn't assist him to get up. he got up on his own because he was disoriented and tried getting up on his own. and i agree with that one statement where yes, they should've stabilized his neck more. hope that helps!

  This shows why NHL is never going to be NBA. All the skilled players are getting injured by unskilled scrubs and takes all the fun away from the game because scrubs have no other way of surviving in the league. It is like allowing some scrub guy in NBA equalize with MJ. Would NBA be any fun if that was allowed?
