Did you use a regular paint?
Does the tack spray transfer onto the surface?
Does this work on slightly curved surfaces? Thanks!
It should work like a charm!
Thank you for this video tutorial but I have one practical question. I suppose that I will not be able to find that kind of spray in my country, so what are my options to do it easy as if I have that spray? What can I do to help my self? I will be grateful for any idea.
Hi, Spray adhesive should be available but you can do this project without it. Just make sure you don't have too much paint on your brush or roller and build up your paint coverage slowly. And even if you get a little paint seepage, it won't really be noticeable as it's a natural design. Good Luck!
I have white paint that I painted my concrete porch steps with. Can I use it with my stencil to paint on a wooden fence?
Yes! Go for it! Just make sure that you don't have too much paint on your brush or roller to avoid paint seepage.
What size is the stencil? Do you also shipp internationally? (The Netherlands)
Hi, That stencil is an XL and yes, we ship internationally. Happy Stenciling!
Gonna have to repaint that forever now
Yep, she committed :)
The tops of the stairs being the dark pink color would look nice
That would look great!
Barbies house is looking so cute!!
It sure is!!!
❤❤❤
Thanks!
AMAZING!! do you let the paint dry between coats?
Hi, If you use a flat sheen paint it dries almost instantly :)
This is very cool!! Thanks for the tutorial. I’m trying this out as a backsplash behind my stove 😊
Thanks and good luck!
What is that paper and spray??
It's a stencil and spray adhesive. www.cuttingedgestencils.com
Paint or power wash the fence first.
Yep, but some people like a weathered look too.
Why didn’t you clean or paint the fence first?
We were going for a more weathered look. :)
Ficou melhor que um papel de parede. Parabéns!
Thank You!
Very nice, thank you for sharing your technique. That certainly a skill set that takes practice.
You can get the hang of it very quickly! And then you're hooked :)
Can this paint be used for outdoor tiles
Sure! Just use a good quality primer and then seal it with a waterbased spar vanish. Works great!
How do you not drag the color off the stencil when you move it to the next spot?
Because flat paint dries very quickly, especially when you apply thin layers to build up your coverage.
@@CuttingEdgeStencils very helpful. Thank you
Really creative, but with a pressure wash before all of it would have been… fresher?
Bad for the wood though
Yeah, we were going for a more weathered look at our place. Easy enough to power wash or wood bleach ahead of time.

What a brilliant idea. And one I've never seen. Great job!
Thank you very much!
Great idea!
Thanks!
This is such a cute idea!
Thanks!
Dimensions of stencil
It's a great look :)
Cool but I want to know how the stencil was made
Hi, we design them and cut them on expensive lasers :)
I don't have a fence but in my basement family room I have some really strange wooden shingle type wallcoverings that I have been wanting to paint dark gray and do something similar to this to! After this video I'm trying it! Thank you!!
That is awesome!
Do u have different sizes of stencils?
Yes we do! www.cuttingedgestencils.com
Looks easy ro do but is it. Fabulous result.
Just follow the simple steps! Flat paint, dense foam roller and maybe spray adhesive. Don't press down to hard on the roller and don't overload it with paint. It's pretty easy!
Gracias, 🤗👍. Bufenisimo , lo voy hacer 🫂
How long do you wait before peeling the stencil and moving on to the next one?
If you use flat paint, and don't overload your roller or brush, it dries almost instantly or very quickly at the least.
The video down plays bleeding, however this is a serious concern.
It just takes some practice. If your surface is smooth, and your brush or roller is not overloaded, and you use some spray adhesive it looks great. And using flat paint is important.
Great presentation, great video. You sold me on your product - Thanks!
Great!
I need to use this matrarl coset am from assosa in banshangul rign
I'm hunting for a video on doing different ways to decorate walls with raised stencils and painted stencils but definitely dont like the wallpaper look with stencils or anything. Just too darn busy.
It's all about the pattern. Some are very busy and some aren't. Hope you find something!
where do you get the stencil
Right Here! www.cuttingedgestencils.com/bricks-stencil-allover-pattern-stencils.html
Beautiful. I found the very small rollers work better for me
They do work great :)
So I tried stenciling for the first time. I use a basking spray because it said it was temporary and repositionable. I let it dry for about 3 minutes before I put on my piece of furniture to stencil, but it ended up leaving a little bit of a sticky residue. My question is do you have any tips on how to remove it without affecting the stain or is it okay to spray polyurethane over it anyways
Hi, You could try paint thinner on a rag and very lightly see if that removes it. Don't use alcohol. Test the paint thinner in an inconspicuous area to make sure it doesn't remove your artwork. Good luck!
@@CuttingEdgeStencils thanks!!
Thank you for the clear tutorial! I have a small question 🙋♀️ to ask: Can I use different green colours to make the mountains? Will it also make sense? Thank you! ❤
Hi, Sure you can. You could substitute all the grays for different greens. Just make sure that the colors get darker in the foreground! Good luck!
Any issues with pulling paint off the wall when removing the stencil?
Hi, That would only happen if the wall wasn't properly prepared. But I would still go easy with the spray adhesive and make sure it dries to "knuckle tack" before using the stencil. Good Luck!
Watched several vids, yours is the best. Thanks for helping me out on my project.
That makes my day :) Thank you!
I really want to do this! What colors is the wall and how was that accomplished?
Hi, The wall was skimmed with a cement texture product called Versiplast. durock.ca/designerfinish/ And then stained with a diluted acrylic wash in a slate blue color. You could try other cement/texture products as well, just make a sample first. Good Luck!
Hi. How's it holding up years later?
Hi, It's holding up great! The cement is porous and really holds the finish.
Where did you find this particular stencil? Can you give the link please

Beautiful! I just stenciled my bathroom and I am in LOVVVVE
Great job!
Nice, thanks! Can I use oil paint for an exterior project on aged galvanized metal?
You could but it just takes forever to dry and they're difficult to work with. Acrylic paints are so good these days that I would could certainly use them.
Esto es beautiful ❤
Thanks!
Beautiful !
Thank you!
Do you have to wait for it to dry before placing the stencil back on it?
Hi, If you use flat stencil paint on a flat base coat the paint dries so quickly that you really don't have to wait.
How long do you have to wait before moving the stencil to the next position. I would worry about the paint smearing
