Homogeneous, well-balanced choir sound with outstanding quality of vocal coloring. Well detailed dynamics. Clear intonation of the numerous suspension chords with major and minor second intervals. Very well done! Yet -- given the text of this special musical piece on "bare foot walks", why did you not (at least for this single piece of work) put off your shoes and put them aside? I think that would have made the overall performance more authentic and less stiff. Don't be afraid of breaking supposedly formal rules, if the piece deserves it! 👣 🙂
🔥🔥
I have to wonder if this arrangement was written specifically for this group.
Wonderful . . . and I love seeing UNT choral singer graduates in this ensemble!
Complete. Perfection. Makes me miss when I sang this TTBB, but the clarity, the tone, it was everything in sync! Just amazing!
So beautiful, one if the most beautiful songs with choir I've ever heard
That is so gorgeous with double bass.
Excellent performance
Wow! 🎉🎉🎉
I love listening to this exquisite group: such a full, warm sound, with depth and sensitivity. My heartfelt thanks to the singers and conductor!
The Scottish word is "weel" not "well." My only criticism. Otherwise it was beautifully sung and interpreted.
Thank you for listening and for your comments. Per the composer’s note: “well” may be substituted for its archaic form, “weel”.
Beautiful! ❤
New favorite performance of this piece 💜
Beautiful!!!!
Our church singers sang this today. Lovely song, lovely performance. God bless you all
BEST PERFORMANCE OF THIS SONG L´VE HEARD ON KZread.YOUR CONDUCTOR REALLY HAS THE SENSITIVITY OF DYNAMICS AND ALL YOUR ME ARE ASTOUNDINGLY AMAZING.😋😋
I sang this song with a 1000 high school voice choir in 1984. Jester Harriston directed us. He was magnificent. 85 years old and so much stamina, strength and wit. I never knew that in later years the tremendous gift I had singing music created by him and being directed by him. I am very proud of that opportunity.
This is fantastic

Super!!!!
Such beauty -- I love the way this group lets the music breathe and undulate. The space for silence and the soaring dynamics create an experience that is deeply spiritual. Thank you. XO
Goosebumps 🎉❤

Stunningly beautiful! One of the most loved piece of music for me.
~200 male ensemble in my state, we did this, FILLED the church with chords and joy, (almost) literally blew the roof off the place, it was so amazing. 440 mixed ensemble, we did a song called "I am Loved" and you learned what FORTE really was. Still, beautiful, keep it going
Bravo! Your ensemble with Daniel literally brought me to tears. It was so beautiful! I couldn't help myself between 2:00-2:05 when your soprano-tenor(s) masterfully sang that 'O Love' high part in that section. But truly, I commend your ENTIRE ensemble for a fantastic performance!
Thank you for sharing this video to the world.
Favorite one yet I've seen on KZread.
Profoundly exquisite hymnal, beautiful awesome powerful lyrics, thank you.
Nice song
This is magnificent - such expressive directing, singing and pace! Thank you. I never thought to take it at this pace when I directed it.
One of my fondest high school memories is of singing this song in a TTBB arrangement at Nebraska’s annual men’s choir festival. 600-some voices from age 14 to 70, all joining as one to praise the Giver of the song. Ten years later and it still gives me chills, and this is the best recording of it I’ve found yet.
A prayer for the ages, especially in light of current events. Well done Dallas Chamber choir!
Beautifully sung by your choir! Bravo! When someone asked me to sing a Filipino song when I was young, this Filipino Love Song is the one I always sang. Now, that I’m old I couldn’t sing so good anymore. Thank you for choosing to sing this awesome song. You sound amazing! Bravo! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Bravo Bassist!
We get to sing this song for Madrigals (A group of 16 auditioned singers) or (varsity) and I love the ending! It reminds me of the song from R.E.N.T.❤️
Good job guys! I always play this song 🎵 by the LETTERMEN ……. Reminds me of my yesteryears back home in the Philippines 🇵🇭
The soloist - damn. To have the ability to harness the power of her voice, flawless.
