Watching your video gave me an idea how to get the GO open, thanks. I had the same problem as you however, I did not need to replace the jack. On the top side of the jack you can see a piece of copper that breaks contact then makes contact again when the Lavalier mic is removed. I pressed on the elbow of the copper to bed it slightly to get it to push down harder and make the contact again when the Lavalier is removed. It now works well again. That switch appears to be very cheaply made and if both you and I had this problem I bet many others do also.

I tried, but it wasn't wasn't moving back in place, thus making contact when the jack was removed. So I had to replace it.

Can I use a pot stand made from silicon to separate the harddisks instead?
@BorisDessimond2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't stack vertically a lot of drives on silicone stands. On the other hand I made a thinner and smaller version and used 5 round silicone feets on each side to prevent slipping and reduce the surface in contact with the stand.

What? The video isn't about AC. AC is just blowing air. Right now I use the hard drive on a desk withs 12V fans. If you stack drives without fans and without stands they will overheat.
