  In the DAR there are no clouds, so no latent heat rejection, it is a region of relatively higher pressure which heats up DAR space?

  Clouds after LCL reject the latent heat to the lower ambient temperature which happens at at a constant cloud temperature, the temperature of the clouds still drops per each 1000 meter however at a lower rate exclusively due to the the decreasing pressure & expansion with the increasing elevation? Please verify my understanding. Thank you
