    I bought mine ($230 Australian)in 2022 with a 1620v3 k2200 Quadro 16g 2133 and 525watt PSU. I upgraded the ram to 32g for $50 and recently added an HP Turbo pci-e nvme adaptor and nvme for $60 all up. Both brand new. The main reason I bought it was because they are reliable, powerful and quiet. I don't game or do video editing stuff. Thank you for the video. 🙏🏾👍🏾

    Thank you for the review! Have you tried charging it through USB-C? I have read different information and in some HP guides it mentions Power Delivery but not in others for the USB-C. Of course it would be with reduced power but it would be very convenient on the go or for light office work.

    About how good NVIDIA professional drivers with SolidWorks, Catia, etc: some CAD professionals believe that it is not Prof Drivers and cards are so optimized, but there is a software performance "downgrade" for non-prof cards that is programmed in by NVIDIA. In other words, if NVIDIA driver see that you use such software with "usual" video card, it will reduce the performance by itself. Basically, forcing you to buy the professional video card if you work with CAD.

    For anyone watching this video now, I know he makes a big deal about using NVME drives with this but it seems Dell has solved this issue, I got two refurbs from Dell Refurbished and they both came with a Pcie card with an NVME drive in one of the slots that it boots from. I personally like to have all four drive bays for spinning rust but I get it that some may not.

    Last time I watched one of your videos you convinced me to buy an HP Z Workstation and I bought the Z600 which I totally upped internally to dual X5675 cpus, 96Gb RAM, 32 Tb video storage, 1TB system drive, 8Tb for stock media, and externally I had another 12 Tb for archival purposes divided into a few usb drives. My ex partner robbed me that system and I'm now deciding between a Z8 G4 or a Z4 G4. Here in Mexico I can get a Z8 for USD$600 and a Z4 for USD$400. I even think about getting both!

    I see that the side panel has two large metal blocks, the lower one I presume to hold graphics cards in place. But this will obstruct a larger card, such as the rx580 Nitro I'd want to put in it. Is the lower metal block removable?

    Amazing solution. I just applied this solution to Ubuntu grub & 10_linux files and reboot did not hang on the white screen anymore. I was getting tired after many days of trying different things. Today, I ditched MacOS High Sierra & installed Ubuntu and found out it was going completely blank. I even tried rEFInd bootmgr and that did not help either. So I found out later it was my graphic card since today I saw lot of distrotion/screen flicker and realized it's a graphic card issue. After hours of searching I found your video and applied the solution after reinstalling Ubuntu Studio from scratch. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH for saving my MBPro 2011.

    Hi Jorge, I am using system coupling to couple the Ansys Mechanical and Ansys fluent to solve my complex problem; the problem I am facing with the system coupling is that it only takes 2 cores to solve the problem. Please let me know how I can increase the number of cores in the system coupling so that the simulation speed will increase significantly. My system is a rack server with two CPUs (each CPU has 24 cores). Thank You

  • @JorgeMoralesAv
    @JorgeMoralesAvАй бұрын

    Hello, first thanks for watching! What kind of licensing you have for Ansys? For system coupling there are three menus that you should take a look for multi core solutions. In workbench, in the System Coupling Analysis tool, there you can also specify how many cores. Second, in Mechanical as i showcased in my video and in Fluent again you can specify the cores. Take a look to the three options and should work.

    I want to comment on what will be considered by many as a very minor point, but it remains somewhat irksome. The audio I/O jack on the front panel will probably (by most users) have a plug sticking in it at all times. The USB slots are just beneath that phone jack, so that audio plug is always in your way, as you much more often try to access the jacks below it to plug in a USB drive or cable. The audio jack should have been located BELOW the USBs.

    Now adays you can get a z6 g4 for about 450$ make sure to get one that has 2 processors in it when you buy it. Trying to buy the riser and the cable are very pricey. Then just get 2x 4160's and you will have 72 threads. 1000 watt power supply. M.2, the hookups for a video card are already on the power supply. Very convenient way of getting super fast. You can even upgrade to 104 threads but then your putting out about another 200 bucks instead of 100 for the 4160's.

    Thanks for your video! I was able to do the same but instead of putting it on top of the case, I went on to put the cooler on the lower side. It is the same process that requires removing of hard drive case below but it doesn't interfere with power box movement at all. By the way, I have a Precision 3650 but both 3640 and 50 are identical. I also found putting it at a lower level makes air circulate better. It sucks cooler air better due to location.

    question, so you need the y splitter for fan and pump control, but one is a 3pin and the other a 4 pin header. Will with work with an NZXT Kraken 120 ? yes they don't provide the y splitter, but whatever i'll but it. Also, what fan would fit as a replacement to the top one? will any do? can i install multiple(daisy chain?) thanks in advance

    Jorge, muy buenas noches y te mando.un caluroso saludo desde México. Una pregunta, en caso de tener 2 GPUs en la misma PC, pero ambas son diferentes modelos de NVIDIA, ¿pueden trabajar ambas en paralelo o deben ser mismos modelos?

  • @JorgeMoralesAv
    @JorgeMoralesAv2 ай бұрын

    Hola Luis, ambas pueden trabajar en paralelo. Pero si alguna es muy diferente en cuanto a memoria VRAM y CUDA cores a la otra pueda ser que el rendimiento no mejore tanto a como si trabajara solo la mas poderosa. Por que el trabajo se tiene que paralelizar desde el CPU y luego pasar por dos tarjetas . Saludos desde alemania y un placer ayudar
