I thought a ball was for dancing. Please pick up the ladies by the waist and not under their rear ends if you have to do this kind of whatever you call it. Definitely not a ball.

Less choregraphy and more dancing will help to better result.

Here was a performance when dancing left the ballroom for the ballet. Although it was brilliantly done, and I admired it greatly, nevertheless I preferred earlier Stanford years when I could enjoy imagining myself dancing with them in a more realistic ballroom setting.

Where Ballet meets Ballroom! I appreciate and salute the practice and execution from these young people dancing this spectacular choreography. However, as exciting as it is to watch, I personally prefer earlier Stanford offerings where I could imagine myself vicariously participating in more genteel, paced Viennese waltzing.

An excellent choreography done to one of my favorite Tchaikovsky movements! It was graceful, athletic, and wonderfully romantic -- perfect for the Rose Adagio. And the Stanford dancers performed it beautifully! Well done!

I have watched many of these Stanford waltzes over the years, and this remains one of the best. Some of the others have the music muted while people hoot and cheer. The sound quality and camera work here is excellent and the choreography smoother with less gymnastics.

Love it, 100%. I wish the camera angle didn't keep switching though, and just kept the higher view of the whole floor so I could watch all of it at once.

(We decided to have two separate videos to have the option to see the facial expressions, especially since the choreographies have some sweet and comical moments between dancers)

Which arrangement of the song "Kaiserwalzer" was used here? I need an edited version with the main melody like this one.

The waltz is not only beautiful to watch, it feels amazing (for a woman anyway) because the heavy skirt will swirl with you, as you are turning around and around and moving in a circle in a man's arms. How can it get better than this? Even if you have two left feet, you will feel transported and light as a feather. I strongly suspect the men like it too :>
