Either they need a mic/it needs to be turned louder, or the pianist needs to learn to play softer😂

I watched this 3 times looking for the loud sound. What am I missing. The piano drowns everything else out.

LOVE IT SM i just dont think the choreography at 4:20 suits the song meaning that was meant to symbolise the anger and sadness of her not having memeories but oh my god congrats to everyone especially whover played jane!

I was the sound effect technician during my high school's run of Wizard of Oz and GREATLY enjoyed scaring the pants off the entire cast with the booming thunder sound effects. The first time we used them the surprise made Oz forget his lines!

I’ve been on both sides of this and lemme tell you, it’s a little scary (someone just belting their heart out while staring at you) but also you feel so close to that person

Everyone is so callous in this comment section. Is the poor woman okay? Who cares about the piano or the girls voice. Did that woman have a stroke or heart attack?

Sound designer in question here! For those inquiring about the sound quality: She wasn’t miked for rehearsal (early run-through), and that rehearsal space has all the acoustics of a Five Guys at lunchtime. Rest assured: mikes were used and balance was MUCH better in performance! 😊 I’d never cover up a voice that good!

I probably should have said something beforehand, but I actually only thought of doing it while she was singing. 😂 What impressed me was that the actors onstage kept going like nothing untoward had happened, even while the production crew were busy recovering from cardiac arrest off to the side!

had something similar one time with our lighting. we were running a scene like normal but apparently our director had a talk with the lighting guy right before and forgot to inform us of the change, so in the middle of the scene the lights dropped then turned completely red. scared the hell out of all of us lol

Can relate. Not a musical, but my finals for my program demanded to produce from scratch and play in front of a public (about 60 people). The first night, just as we were about to start the console breaks and we had to play without our audio cues. We did really well, but I was kinda disappointed it happened in the first place.
