8 of cups slowly made her way to go get her missing cup, now she’s coming back with a speed to put it back where it belongs. Now that she’s gotten her baby or her missing cup, she spin around and kick down the past that no longer matters in order to focus on the two standing cups in the 5 of cups card.❤💛💙
Interesting reading, Kate! I do see one important difference between the Eight and the Five, though. Yes, they're both walking away - but I get the feeling that the person in the Eight is walking away because she's accomplished her task and it's time to move on... whereas the person in the Five is just quitting in disgust because things aren't going her way. It's true that she has managed to spill three of her five cups - but she still has two left. I feel that maybe she's just giving up too soon. It's fascinating that both of these cards should appear in the same reading, and that they should be the two "bookends" of the reading, with a third Cup card in the middle.
That's an interesting observation, Arta! And an important key difference between these two cards.

I had actually just decided to stop pushing hard against something that isn't working (8 of cups) while feeling bad about it (5 of cups). I was even thinking about "lift off" to let go of what no longer serves me in order to fly higher. This all resonates!

an astrologer i like on youtube emphasized that this week is a good time to focus on getting ourselves together. i always try to ignore mercury retrograde, but it is in shadow now and moving into virgo later on this week, a good time to analyze/reflect on what is and isn’t working in our individual lives, and decide to make the correct choices moving forward

I am healing a stress related illness and it’s very challenging to just let go at times when you want to help yourself. I pulled the Empress this morning - I woke up feeling really frustrated and unsure of how to help myself and the Empress was my message to just let go and know that this is where I am supposed to be. The more I can let go, the more I can heal.

I like your insight into this. I'm really good at not using a lot of modern technology when I'm at home, but I do still tend to try and distract myself when uneasy feelings or thoughts creep up on me. Maybe I should try to face them and see them for what they are. I'm going to try that next time this happens.

When I watched this video, I felt like I'm being read to filth, especially the part about the traits of a Virgo, because I'M a Virgo Sun 😂 Still a great video because it helped me learn a little bit more about myself. ❤

That feeling, when you judge Judgement
I see the knight handing the wand to the little girl who is reaching up her hand. The sun and the wheel are the same scene, but her innocent interpretation makes the clock face look like a smiley sun, those bubbles look like sunflowers (I see 4) and the snake is a soft red ribbon. Perhaps the weekend offers a peek beyond the innocent fantasy version of our plans so that we can embrace the gravity of taking that wand and running with it.
