Would it be the same thing to make a summing stack of the dry and compressed vox tracks and apply your automation to that?

What if I have too much guitar resonance (I am using the torpedo captor x with cabinet simulation), I have those starting from 1khz all the way up to 5khz, with very few pockets of clarity. I cannot obviously remove all of those as it removes all the character, but it sounds really ugly with those. I tried to use another cabinet for simulation and there are like zero issues at all, so the problem seems to be the cabinet and they way it is simulated.

Thank you to Dylan for this. ever since i started making tunes, i was like this reverb sounds ok. let's go with that. but now there's a reason behind everything. damn I also spent 19 hours on the other courses. kind of life changing. 🏁

That’s a sign that you should share the frequency and cut your bs advice!

Y’all’s 9 hour video on EQ single-handedly took my mixes to such a different level. I can’t wait to dig into this one, as I’m definitely lacking here.

Going on 8 years experience as an audio engineer, and I'll admit there's still things to learn about the fundamentals of mixing. Great video, best breakdown I've seen on the concepts and practical applications of using the sorcerers stone (a stock compressor).

Should I input the bass sound into the mixer, defined as VuMeter -3db + so that the kick together with the bass hits 0 db? I still can't decide... I saw a video where they just hang TR5 Clipper +6db on the master and work without VU Meter with sounds, not letting them go beyond 0db

I am watching this course and thinking: Can't believe its actually for free!! Thank you guys so much ❤ !! I am a producer from Brazil and its really expensive to buy good quality courses here, taking the current prices in our country. You have no idea how much contents like these mean for people in the position that I am right now!

I’d started applying a lot of transient management within the mix just because I felt it made sense. Even though I run into CPU issues and feel like I’m breaking all sorts of mixing “rules”. Very comforting to know it’s a thing.

Axford inflator is saturator with sinoid fold . Turned down -59db. plugin thats Been glorified. The reason it sounds lauder is because it adds upper harmonics, but it doesnt add volume.

what about high end orchestral midi instruments? do they still have these rogue frequences/resonances? or they are treated before being released? also how you can do step 4 of the chef method when you have 100+ orchestral tracks in your mix and they fight for frequency spots?
