I don't believe in tearing down our brothers and sisters on other islands or wherever black people find themselves. We don't try to tear one down to build up another. Many of us came on the same boats and the Atlantic Ocean became a watery grave for many of our ancestors. To see black people trying to diminish each other is a shame and very low. Jamaicans are proud of our island as everyone should be proud of their country, if not in every way, there has to be things every group of people can be proud of about their country. Mother Earth is beautiful. There's a gospel song we used to sing before school and at church and a part of it goes like this, "all things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small , all things bright and wonderful the Lord God made them all. I ask all the people of faith to pray for love and goodwill to cover the earth and grant us all favor. We must not stoop to the level of crabs in a barrel. I know not all Caribbean people are black and many are very resentful to the black populations all over the world. I never got how someone call upon their gods, pray and hope the best for their children while committing the evil sins of hate and prejudice. Black people stand strong, your enemies are plenty and sad to say but some of our worst enemies are sometimes our own brothers and sisters who are xenophobic and jealous of and resentful to their own. Big up all Africans home and abroad, we yearn to see you rise above every expectation. Stop tearing down each other, build each other up, establish trade and exchange of good ideas and best practices. From Jamaican living in Chicago, I wish all the best for the beautiful country of Belize and love to all human kind. For the children's sake, may those fending for them be successful in all their endeavors. Children are dying all over the world, let's do better as adults and stop all these evil wars. The Most High is watching us live like lions and hyenas. Time to raise our vibrations to higher levels of consciousness and assist each other along the way.
