Just perfection
Absolutely splendid!
Great review! What a delightful pen!
Thank you kindly! Yes very nice and unusual pen.
Hi Stef, i am glad i guessed right! I wrote that before i read what others have said about it. It's a really good looking pen and in very good condition for it's age! Greetings from Greece, Nick.
Thanks Nick and a good guess, well done. Thanks for watching from Greece.
A most enjoyable show, Stef. I never thought of an eyedropper; perhaps it was made for the Indian market, or maybe they were just very eccentric? BTW you get those feeds shining like patent leather...luverly! Thanks from Tommy of Toongabbie.
I am not a 100% sure as i can not find any information on this model. The feeds a completly cleaned including the ink channel and in between the fins, so not just a polish. Cheers Bruce.
DeLaRue! Yes, mine is this celluloid!
Yes i think it is De La Rue as well. A very nice celluloid indeed. Many thanks
Lovely celluloid. I'm curious about this.
You and me both!
Amazing, do you have a website where these will be listed please?
Thanks, all my pens are available. Everyone that is interested will simply send me an email. So why not you too.
Stuff, how much for the Conway Stewart # 58 green hatched . Post to Aust Thanks Richard
Hi Richard as i said above any interest in my pens then send me an email. Cheers
Is blackbird and swan same?
Please see previous reply. Cheers
What is the difference between swan and blackbird fountain pen?
Blackbird pens were the lower tier pens for Mabie Todd although quality wise they were just as good as Swan pens. Thanks
Cross Townsend nib, are made by Pelikan?
Yes some of the Cross pen nibs were made by Pelikan i believe. Thank you.
Jewel pen is a bit special no filling lever ~ quite like it! That COnway Stuart 58 is stunning too wouldn't mind either of them.. Not a bad at the office I'd say!!!!
Yes there are some nice pens here. Not too bad as you say. Thanks
The Jewell pen looks like an eyedropper filling pen. Am i right ?
Mmmm! All will be revieled over the next day or so. Cheers
The little brown pen could be a Peter Pan or Wahl. The Pencil may be a Mabie Todd and both are beautiful. Living in Idaho, I come across a fountain pen once a year, in usually bad condition lol. I would die to find all of those.
Yes they could well be, but i am not sure. I normally find a lot more pens than i have here. Thanks
It may be a small haul but there were some nice pens and pencils with unusual character, thanks for showing them to us!👍
Thanks for watching!
Same guess: no obvious filling mechanism. It means it’s either using an aerometric style filler, or the filling mechanism is revealed once you remove the barrel. A bulb filler perhaps? Or a piston inside?
I did not notice this when i purchased the pen. Good guess but not quite rght. Answer soon. Cheers George.
At the risk of revealing my poor powers of observation, my guess is that the Jewell pen has no lever, and the end of the barrel is solid (i.e., no blind cap), therefore it has an exotic filling system. If I win the competition will you send me a "51"? All the best from Cabanandra Chris.
Not bad Cabanandra Chris but sorry you did not win anything. All will be revealed.
Have you sold this pen? I’m quite interested. Thanks
Hello, like everyone else if your interested in any of the pens then pop me an email. Thanks
I just bought a Parker duofold senior from eBay
You could have bought a fully restored pen here ? But good luck with your pen.
@@penkino1 It says serviced, thanks!
@@alanwang5764 Ok good luck.
How do you restore the color of the hard black rubber?
There are many different methods that are possible buy not all are succesfull, so unfortunatly there is no diffinitive answer. Good luck.
Thanks for a wonderful video. Very informative. Great pen. I have four of them and I use them in rotation.
Glad you like them! Keep enjoying your pens. Thanks
Does it have a new owner?
Any enquiries for pens can be made by email. Thanks
Hello Stef , do you by any chance know the no/model of that waterman with hungry owner( bite marks ) ? Many thanks
Hi, if it is of interest then pop me an email. Cheers
How to clean it in case you want to add different kind of ink
Fill and empty the pen with water until it runs out clean. Good luck.
Hello, what could i use to remove the vacuum pump without a wrench?
I would not recommend you try without the wrench in case you break the pump. Or send it to a pen restorer to have it done correctly. Good luck.
Thank you sir. Much appreciated.
I hope it was helpfull to you. Thanks for watching.
Gorgeous pen! Wow, what an amazing job you've done! That pen deserves to be resurrected! Thank you so much for this video!
Glad you enjoyed it! It will now be enjoyed by the new owner for many years.
A stunning pen. Thank you for sharing. I have a similar aged 58 in blue marble. A wonderful writer.
Thanks for watching! Im glad you like the pen and enjoy your own pen.
Very attractive celluloid, and you've brought out the best in this wonderful C-S.
Yes it has its life back now for the new owner to enjoy. Thank
Thanks, once again, Stef, for bringing us another beautiful writer. You have been spoiling us of late, and every new show is a 'dandy' (though I don't collect those.) You must have an astounding washing machine: throw in the pen and out it comes, clean as a whistle--and with a new lever. We've never seen its like here in Woop Woop.
Cheers Bruce i try my best. I wish it was as easy as "throw in the pen and out it comes, clean as a whistle--and with a new lever".
Very beautiful, very good ! ( Brazil )
Thank you very much! Greeting to all in Brazil.
A absolute beautiful fountain pen, still got the red hatch pattern Conway Stewart 58 I got from you a couple of years ago , still writes like a dream .
Yes one of the nicer patterns i think along with the hatch patterns. Im so happy you are enjoying your pen. Thanks
Beautiful pen and certainly eye-catching. Do they make such quality pens anymore?
The new ones are no longer made in celluloid, but acrylic, which doesn't have the same feel, and tend to crack easily. There is also the Series 58 Indiana Jones replica, which is still a lever-fill thankfully. But it does cost a whopping £ 399.00!
@brahmhenkins8732 Thank you for your comments and information.
@kswaminathan5439 Thank you im glad you like it. Im sure there are some nice modern pens with nice materials.
Thanks for showing us one of Parker's best efforts. Cheers from the Wombats
No problem 👍 Thank you as always for watching Bruce.
Stef looks like all those early morning's and long drive's paid off, 👍😉
Sometimes they do and sometimes they do not. But with this pen yes it did. Cheers
Beautiful rare pen!
I think so too! Thanks for watching.
Would you do a video tour of your current collection, please?
Its not a large collection, but yes when im not too busy i may do that.
@@penkino1 Not large, perhaps, but carefully curated, I guess.
Wow! What an absolute beauty of a pen.
Say no more. Many thanks.
Very nice pen, thanks for letting us see this, it's in beautiful condition 🙂
Now it has been fully restored it is as near to original condition as possible. Thanks
Stunningly beautiful pen Stef. Congrats for finding this rare treasure! 👍
Many thanks! Im glad you enjoyed it. And thank you for watching.
What a cracker and no wonder you call it a gail fountain pen, truly worth a place in your collection.
Yes one of my grail pens, now in my own collection. Thank you.
from my understanding J Harris was bought out of receivership (bankruptcy) during the depression by a stockholder who moved its assets to Chicago to restart production under the Majestic name. Incidentally, Majestic pens also produced pens for Sears Roebuck, Montgomery Ward as well as JC Penny's under their own house labels
Thats all interesting information, thank you for your comments.
Another beautiful restoration Stef, that set is absolutely gorgeous!!
Im glad you like it and thank you for watching.
Agree with you completely: when will they make plastics that are as attractive as this? Thanks, as always, from the Bunyips.
Agreed! We need these lovely colours and materials on newer pens. Cheers Bruce.
What an absolute gem!
Its a lovely set and stunning colours. Thank you.
The Watermina was brought out for the 100th anniversary of the company. It was designed to look like the waterman 12 yet be modern.
Thanks for the info. Yes i was aware it was based on a vintage "night and day" pen.
Gorgeous.. Owner's pride 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video of the pen. I assume you are the new owner, if so enjoy the pen. Thanks
A beautiful and elegant pen Stef. A rare model. Never seen this model before or anything like it. Thanks for showing it to us.
Glad you enjoyed it they are not very common so it is nice to see one. Thanks
I remember this range. Watermina pronounced Watermeena. Other than this finish there was also a silver and black as well as a copper and black. They were discontinued in the early 80s. They seemed to only appeal to the ladies market. Waterman were not expecting this! The Laureat’s replaced them with their introduction in the mid 80s. Nice to see one again. The box, not that it matters is wrong, this is a 90s box.
Thank you for the added information it is alway nice to learn about these rather unknown pens.
Wow! What a smasher! Now that I've seen it I won't be able to forget it. Glad you have shown me something I've never heard about. The new owner will be very happy. Good on'ya, mate. Cheers from Syd of Suggan Buggan.
Glad you enjoyed it as it it a lovely pen. I also never heard about this pen so it was nice to find one. Cheers Bruce.
