Songs before - between - behind and beyond the Blues - authentic - partially autobiographical - from life on the road and the ordinary daily mess between humans.
Charles M. Mailer is wellknown as a percussionist and drummer in various bands (including XMas-Gala-Big-Band Würzburg). With his own songs - self accompanied on EPiano - he proposes a new, previously unknown side of his musical activity.
In 2012 he founded the " Sunhill Palace Band" , a line-up of top-class live and studio musicians , which is compiled individually to support large concerts and events.
2012, a previously unreleased short album (EP) with 6 songs was recorded.
2014, the live album "Live @ The Studio Lounge" was recorded and published.
.... and now preparations are underway for the first Studio CD production "Covered Up with Blues". Some pieces were created in collaboration with the American free-lance lyricist and blues poet Freida W. Gantt from South Carolina who has contributed lyrics.
