I make videos for fun. Most of my videos are about drums, drummers, and drumming. I hope you like the content of my channel, and I genuinely appreciate your viewership. Thank you for visiting.
Really appreciate this Ed! I'm a fiddle player, who's been searching for the roots of Rhythm and Melody and got into Snare drumming to understand the Rhythmic aspects better. Any idea where you could find the music with both Drum and Pipes? Thanks!

Nice rudimental drumming my friend!! I'm 77 in July, a member of the National Association of Rudimental Drummers and a former snare drummer for the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights drum corps taught by the legendary drum instructor the late Mr. Bobby Thompson from 1963 till 1965!! Bob Love

Ed, I was in the middle of a long winded comment when I lost it all with erroneous keystroke. Probably for the best. Just want to say that your presentation on this topic, in my humble opinion, is right on. I'm familiar with some of the folks you mention. I was taught out of the J. Burns Moore book, took private lessons from Earl Sturtze, and knew and jammed with some of the Sons of Liberty. I grew up on the Connecticut side of the NY/CT border. So there was a lot of drumming culture cross-pollination had. Keep up the good work! -Joe

After I cleaned up the shells, I used Watco Danish Oil. It was a long time ago and I thought I used the Natural Finish, but I found a half used can of Golden Oak finish in my cabinet, so now I am not sure. After that, I applied several coats of gloss polyurethane.

Those 5 stroke rolls at speed .. too much of a triplet sound.. and your 7 stroke role did not alternate.. I stopped listening about there..
@TheDrumslinger6 ай бұрын
Triplets or duplets are both legitimate interpretations of five strokes. The original NARD list of sevens indicates left hand leads only, obviously they can be played both ways.
