Thank you from Putnam Valley N.York. I want to pick a bunch of my amazing endless summer - but will that mean I wont have blooms next year? If I pick a bunch - where on the stem do I cut?

Hello and thankyou for all of your lovely videos:] I have a question for you if you could please answer. I recently just had to root prune a severely root bound big leaf Lets Dance Sky View hydrangea. The plant was doing great with abundant blooms(root bound sunce i received it thought i roughed the roots up enough from the get go and i didnt)then I suddentlyi started noticing all the blooms were dying and the tips of the plant were dying, I had this hydrangea in a pot and I pulled it out I realized how hard the root ball was and still in the exact shape as the container it came in months later.. This is a younger hydrangea I just got it in a gallon size, decent sized, still young though. I cut into the roots with my scissors. I did this about 2 weeks ago. The hydrangea looks stressed out from that but seems alive.. now in your opinion will this plant recover in time for blooms next year and what signs should I be looking for how should I be treating this poor plant? I took it out of the pot and put it in the ground just like you did, I also noticed it wasn't taking the water from the pot really... when inspecting the roots they're not squishy or anything just hard as a rock.. Any and all suggestions and answers are well appreciated! Thankyou very much!😊 Sorry for being long winded there is alot to say haha 😄 Have a great one!

Maybe in the fall she could save the seeds that come in from her current marigolds and you could plant them the following spring . 🌸

Do Annabelles branch out? I.e. if I want to see a lot of volume, do I need to buy a few hydrangeas or will it produce enough branches to fill in? Thanks for the info!

Annabelle’s get pretty wide so look at the tag for spacing recommendations . Mine have about 4 feet between them but they also self propagate very easily since count on having lots of extra plants in the future . 🤗

I’ve done this and it’s worked incredibly well thank you! I’ve rooted lots of cuttings now and potted them up into their own pots. How long does it take for them to grow into a larger plant that flowers now?

I live in South Africa and planted tubers for the first time last fall. Our winters don’t get very cold. So two of the 6 came up but no flowers. So now we’re in deep winter and I can’t wait to see whether I’ll get a flower or two this coming summer.

Hi Kelly. Mary from Rancho Cucamonga California. We've been having very hot weather (100 degrees) and my potted hydrangeas were drooping really bad so I watered them even though they had been watered a couple days prior. I think they're over watered now. Can I save them?
