My channel is devoted to the interaction between people. I'm all about meeting people from all parts of the world and having energized good talks, and bringing people together through the power of language and video. I also do all things Swedish. It can be the Swedish language, cultural facts about my country or language challenges with people from other countries.
The Good Talk videos are now on its own channel: kzread.info/dron/m7DN-eTxYhi9FpSaPu9nDQ.html

I am born in Skåne 1957 - I can still speak the language from my childhood - that I would consider as another language. But to be understood today I speak a polished dialect - not a different language. But the is an interesting connection between us in Skåne - if you meet someone outside our province it is common to comment. Oh - you are also from Skåne. So there is of course a feeling of togetherness within our province. But I love all swedes and all parts of Sweden - despice we were cut of from Denamrk 1658 against our own will and very brutal. As many other people have experienced and are still experiencing. Peace....
😅
Thank you for sharing. This was interesting and always nice to learn something new especially about Sweden
wow
Beautiful 👍🏻
We love our Opera House and its beautiful Swedish tiles. The tiles are as amazing close up as they look from far away. The tiles are always glimmering in the light. Incredible to see close up.

Swedish is more easier to learn than German
Hi to the both of you, and sorry it took me so long to sit down and properly watch your video! These were amazing tips to get me « upper » in my learning from the rut I’ve recently been feeling stuck in… 😅 I would’ve had one more question for sweet Kelly : is Swedish the first second language you’ve learned? Or did you have prior knowledge of say, German, Cantonese, Arabic, Spanish, or whichever else…? 😬
Great Martin!!.. Running and Talking at the same time till the end!! (i could reach out hear your name when they mention it)...consider me your fun!!...tack so mycket for viddeon it is inspiring....you are really a viking men you ran like a chaski!! haha.....hej fron Peru!!..
Just wanted to point out "förbättra" is a wrong translation of change, "förändra" is more correct. Wich is fairly similair to the Dutch word...
Dafuks wrong with this guy😂 How hard can it be to say you’ve had a lovely day?
Helt underbar sammanfattning.
Ingen minns.
You are the most positive guy ever. 👍

What a good hike and experience it seems to be. It was wonderful seeing the beautiful area and hoe fun it was. I am glad that you two finally got your ice cream. I appreciate you filming your hikes and sharing them. Sweden is truly a beautiful country!😊
It's always fun to look back at these moments in life.

Americans talking in English for 6 minutes about how they learned a foreign language. I've seen that before.
Trevligt. Jag tar klass på ASI.
This is the best way for me to learn Swedish! Thank you for all you do and all you are, Martin!

Qué tristeza que no disfrute la semana santa sin ocio. La semana santa es un tiempo de reflexión.
Wow
This was a helpful video. I agree word order is the hard for me. I am slowly picking it up. I don't have anyone to talk to in Swedish. I have been thinking for awhile that an online course would be better and will look into that. Thank you for this video.
Bra Tips! Tack så mycket Martin och Kelly!
Great advice Kelly, thanks! -I’m still ‘app-ing’ it but, love Swedish music also and checking out the newspapers too. 👍
Varsågod! Toppen! I use the drops app still too. I’m just old and my brain likes pencil and paper best😆. But my sambo completed duolingo and now does babble. He likes babble a lot because it’s swedish specific and uses actual human voices (rather than the duolingo robot voice) in different swedish accents even. I think the main thing for sticking with it when it gets challenging is having a learning platform that you like and feel inspired by :). Which is why i also think music is so helpful!
Så himlen kul! For anyone wondering what to watch- I highly recommend the SVT Play & the SVT Barn apps. Listening to programs designed for very young children reallly builds up listening comprehension in a way that isn’t frustrating or overwhelming because they are more repitive and are much slower than programs designed for people over age 6😂 Sounds silly, but I stand by it! Also reading children’s books about topics you enjoy- so for me reading children’s non fiction books about nature. Since I already understand the concepts, I can concentrate on reading comprehension. And then of course just talking and singing and thinking in Swedish as much as possible each day - and all on top of weekly classes with an actual real human swedish teacher in person or live online - and if it feels right for you reach out and make friends with Swedes so you can text with them regularly. And most of all have FUN with it! If it gets overwhelming, stop trying to understand and just let it wash over you in an immersive sensorial way that reminds you how much you love learning the language. Then the next morning, wake up and go back at it! And those are my “bra tips” expansions! 😊
Awesome video with great tips. I've definitely felt as though the lack of actively speaking Swedish has been my personal greatest weakness. Learning Swedish songs and watching Swedish content (with Swedish subtitles) have also been great for my personal progress. Tack så mycket till ni två! :)
Tusen tack till dig! Keep at it. It’s a journey for sure! I mess up alllll the time but I think with a smile and the willingness to be ok with making mistakes and thanking people for their patience with your learning goes a long way- and always keep having fun with it. Sometimes i play a game when i do mundane things like grocery shopping that I have to think in swedish the entire time or my partner and i have to speak in swedish for the entire time. Its a fun challenge and gets us speaking and interacting in swedish in day to day life :)
Which bands were mentioned in the video?
Let's see, the band Ingenting was mentioned.
And Northern Spies music
