Here on my channel, I might do comedy skits, podcast episodes, short movies, short reviews or whatever else I can film when I have time. I tend to talk about DVDs a lot, but I am also a huge Godzilla/Kaiju fan.
I'm hoping to become a future filmmaker/actor.

Great video Ben! I’ll never forget going to the video rental stores as a kid and picking out DVD’s. There was just something so special about it that has carried with me throughout my life. I’m proud to be a movie collector and I love physical media! 🤘🏻
Great insightful video,Ben. Agree with all you said.
not just those ones. You have to include the tv show ones that have multiple discs and they have those crappy clamps that hold it so firm that it can damage the disks. I hate them to no tomorrow and wish they were banned forever!
Amen to you. A couple things that have awakened my starting a DVD collection is one time I was thinking of watching this one show called Maude, which ran from 1972 to I'm pretty sure 1978. And I went to plutotv since it was basically the only streaming service that had it, and it didn't have all 6 seasons it only had a few seasons, and a couple seasons didn't have every single episode. Another thing that awakened my starting a DVD collection is one time I had finished a show and there was this one show called Married... With Children, and I saw it on peacock one time and I saw it starred Katey Sagal and I was watching a show at the time and a few months later I finished the show, and when I went to watch Married With Children, it wasn't on peacock anymore and it had moved to Hulu and so we had to subscribe to a whole nother platform just to watch Married With Children. Now every show/movie I plan on watching, I'll be watching it on DVD from now on ❤️
I have a stacked DVD of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and Spider-Man 2 kept skipping during the end of the train scene, im buying a new set because that scene is too important Also i have that exact same Indiana Jones boxset you showed, although i rearranged it and had Temple Of Doom first since its a prequel
I used to buy dvds every week before, then i recorded from the tv on vhs tape now i just pirate every film and stuff them on my 5 portable harddrives and connect it to my tv
I think it's great that you have so many movies and shows. One day you will be able to sit down and watch it all and appreciate that you own them. Oh and I understand how you feel about why certain things are not on dvd or bluray and not available anywhere in the United States, but yet sometimes you seem them available in other countries. Why is that? Who knows. It would be great if everything was made available on physical media, whether it was cancelled or not. Keep on collecting and enjoy it all buddy...
The VHS rewind I think what it was supposed to be more convenient you can have one reminded and put another one in your VCR and watch it
Nothing compares to Sony's DVD collection cases. I have their "Studio Classics Collection -- 70s" and that packaging is about as cheap as it gets. It's a stiff paper box with a flimsy slide-out deep-dish tray big enough to hold 12 discs. The nine discs in the 70s collection all stack on top of each other. It's topped off by a cardboard insert that keeps the discs pressed against each other. Your four-disc "Cobra Kai" case is a masterpiece of engineering compared to Sony's collection cases.
I'd Rather the Jewel CD Cases be Banned. They CRACK, if not Properly used + this can also be Hazardous, once Cracked & leaves SHARP Points. (Especially, when Shredded to pieces!)
Great video ! So inspiring for my own content.
Streaming services will never understand my tastes and never come close to giving me the insane cinematic experiences I crave.
The build-a-bot from Robots was my favorite! I played that one at least once every every time I saw the movie.
The snap dvd cases and the thin DVD case are the best ones imo.
Or like the planet of the apes 9 movie set it has the sides latched to be able to work
This guy hated the f word
tubi and amazon are the most underrated streaming services imo if you like obscure/cult movies. its a good way to test a movie before you buy it
Still waiting for Warner Brothers to release the 1950s Popeye sets.
I have a VHS fast forwarding machine. 📼
Merry belated Christmas! 🎄
Tubi had been forcing small film makers to edit their films for content.
I like Tubi but that’s just messed up.
👍
The only DVD stacking case I have is for the Critters Collection and I hate it. If I can find a good case with a 4 disc capacity that is non stacking, that stacking case is going in the trash.
I need an Uncensored Version!
18:15 James Rolfe A.K.A. AVGN, is that you?
I love tubi for discovery and watching shows I don't want to own. But I enjoy having physical all the way.. space is the only issue for me because I have a lot of tastes. I'm getting rid of the fluff now.. Watching blind buys
Nostalgia And Nostalgic Forever
Power Of Nostalgia And Nostalgic
Also, corporations will update their movies’ logos just to keep up with the times. It’s a nostalgia drainer. The Redbox at my Hannaford is going away. We gotta support physical media.
well the only times when streaming is good is when you cant afford a dvd player
wheres south park
I finally got them added to my collection eventually. It took some time to obtain for me because they were a bit pricy for me to obtain.
@@BenWalker-og2cm which ones do you have and when did you have them
@@OscarSPFan Seasons 1-25 & the movie. I got them all a few months ago
@@BenWalker-og2cm woah how did you get them so quick? also what about season 26
@@BenWalker-og2cm hey wait a minute, you bought the multi season boxsets! i prefer the single season boxsets with the 3 discs, 2 discs or 1 disc.
Great video with valid points. I think that the best of both worlds is: 1. Host your own media server (Plex, Jellyfin, etc) 2. Rip your physical media and store it digitally on your server 3. Stream it wherever and whenever
And you have to pay for internet every month where it don’t work that good in the first place
How about the DVD cases where you CAN'T GET THE DISKS TO COME OUT of that center part no matter what you do?? I wish I had the money to sue the manufacturers, but I don't.
Even though I love both physical and streaming, I mostly prefer physical media.
Streaming is definitely convenient but my heart will always be with physical media!
you know about drop dead fred so i have a lot of respect for you now
on 2020 and 2021 DVD is no longer available by COVID-19.
It's Streaming Media Company Website Office are Internet content will be shutdown by the Solar Storm Sun in 2025 to internet apocalypse countdown, a go back to play DVD and VHS with power of electricity generators.
This is one of the better videos ive seen when talking about this subject. Very well done.
Paid streaming does suck!! 🗑️ Physical media is KING 👍
Everything is proven y'all don't have the Lord Jesus Christ himself in your life you don't have nothing at all
Sid's ass grows approximately 452,361 hairs though it varies between shots.
Internet causes problem's on people's health now days everything proven lazy people now days everything proven vhs tapes more healthy and more self everything proven you have to get rid of internet now days because of health problems in time
8:14 i have that Ad on an Old 1960s Spiderman Collectors Edition Comic Book i got in 2006 or 2007 that i Think has to be a Reprint/Copy Made in 2006 or 2007 cause why would the Original Spider Man Comics that were Made in the 1960s have Ads for Listerine Cool Blue wich Didn't Exist at that Point. Another of my 60s Spider Man Comics has an Ad for one of the First Seasons of Old Family Guy wich was Released in the Late 90s or Early 2000s wich i Think Further Proves this Point.
i Remember this from when i was a kid. back in 2006 or 2007 when i was a kid my mom bought me a bottle of listerine agent cool blue mouth wash and at the time she somehow got the mini dvd and at the time i had an old small grey box tv that had a mini/fullsize dvd player built in where there was 2 different sized wrings on the disk tray and i was able to play it on that at the time. i no longer have that tv as it exploded and got internally fried in a freak accident and i don't even know if i can find that same type of tv or that same dvd again. do they still sell that dvd with listerine cool blue bottles? i haven't played that game in years and i almost want to find it and replay it just for the nostalgia.
Nice video and kool shirts. The simpson one is sweet.
Well made video, keep going bro!
The Lilo & Stitch DVD game is top tier, its like a science experiment thing where you randomly see a different experiment monster, I think it used a lot of the designs from the tv show that hadn't aired yet
great video
