My sights light doesn't seem to work out of the box. I removed the plastic housing and the plastic spacer but still get no illumination. Anyone else have this issue? Did I miss something? I am brand new so I assume operator error but maybe it's just defective.

Great video...I ordered the Alaskan XT a couple months ago from my local sportsman shop (I like to support my local guys) and when it finally came in I noticed it had excessive cam lean, also. The 'archery' guy at my shop called Bear and they said it's 'normal.' Regardless, he put another slim washer on the axle and said it's better. I am picking it up Friday. What do you mean by 'putting some twists in the able' to straighten it out? Also, what do you recommend to solve that peep sight issue? Thank you in advance!

Going to attempt the 125 grain Deadmeat for Elk and deer this year? SEVR interesting to me also…. My guide said expect up to 80 yard opportunities so going mechanical for flight at distance. Always been a slick trick viper trick fan for fixed heads.

I have recently found your channel and I love it!! I have been out of bowhunting and shooting bows for nearly 12 years or so and im just getting back into it. I would love to know how to do all of the work you do on bows.I grew up not having anyone to teach me about bows and hunting and I had a friend who got me into it when I was 30 years old and I have loved it ever since. Is there any type of school or training somewhere that you can go to or do online that teaches how to work on bows?

I bought my SS34 on Archery Talk and it is the quietest bow I’ve ever owned! I shot a deer at 30 yds and it never moved! I’m now shooting that same SS34 at 3D tournament and I love it! The key for me is that this bow has the smoothest draw that I’ve ever shot! That important for these old 78 year old muscles! It needs a new strings but it shoots so good I’m hoping it will make it thru this 3D season! I’ll be bringing to you for new strings!

Old video but I have to say Jeremy and Archeryshack strings and cables are the best quality and price around. I’m about to order a set for my Darton and maybe my son’s kure if needed. I can get two sets for just a little more then most string builders charge for one set.

Just a tip I’ve learned about a bow grip wrap. I take the inner strings out of about 30-40 inches of my favorite paracord color. This will let it lay flat as you wrap it. Wrap it in the direction where your thumb puts pressure to keep it tightening up always as load up pressure when drawing. It may take some fiddling to figure the best way to start and stop the cord. But what’s really great is it doesn’t get grippy or tacky with sweat like racket handle wrap does. It says slick with just a little texture. And in colder weather there’s no cold grip area.

Do most of the clubs back east like there have long shots ( like 60, 70+) as part of their regular club shoots? Here in Texas clubs pretty much adhere to ASA yardage guidelines. Personally, I’ve never been a long range shooter or practice past 60 . I use 60 because that’s about the max where I can get feedback on really where the pin was at the break. 👍👍.

It's the first time I've seen anything around here past 50. This particular range is at a state park so they probably don't have too many tournament guys showing up. It's probably a deal where leeroy thinks he can hit a beer can at 80 yards but you know how that goes 🤣

I was shooting a Prime Rival until 2 neck surgeries in 2016. I just bought this bow late March 2024 to see if I could still shoot and make my way back to hunting. This bow, for the price point, blew my mind. I am at 45lb draw, this thing draws and shoots smooth. I was shocked. The arrows and rest are junk but this bow is a great bow for the price. I am looking forward to hunting this fall and feel confident with this bow. I did put a good, drop away, rest on it and pulled my old Carbon express arrows out of retirement. Next month I will upgrade the sight, I like a single pin, and I think I have a good hunting rig.
