Top sound
Stunning work of art!
@@CS-dp1ss thank you !
It looks like an ATM.
It looks like perfect
Amazing
Truly amazing
Amazing work. Would love to build these myself. Do you have any drawings or building guide?
👍♥️🫂
Just magic ✨✨✨. Loved everything 💖..
Thank you 🙏🏼
With that driver offset. Sound waves will migrate to the side , with more face area. So switching sides , and tow adjustments could fine tune these. Or that's been my experience , with offset driver designed cabinets. 🤔
sorry i just discovered your channel. yeah i'm late to the Party. but better be late than never learn about your Projects. WOW. i'm speechless !!. your work designs, craftsmanship is TOP NOTCH all ooze Quality. very impressive. i don't know if this is a Hobby of yours or you sell those speakers on commission ?!. is there part 2 of the finished speakers ?. i'm gonna look. hope to find it.
Always cool to be late to a Party ;) thank you very much for your response, working now on the second part of the TL2, just always takes lots of time to finnish those projects... all the best to you 🙏
@@noamgellerdiy oh i totally understand. it takes time to make things Right !. especially when it's 100% hand made. looking forward to part 2.
Glad to see you are still making new speakers and enjoying music.
Thanks mate, yes there is always the next best thing around the corner so it seems
Sounds mighty amazing. I'm still on the lookout for a pair of used Tl-1 or TL-2 here in the US.
I saw one on the Diy forum, but it was long ago, worth waiting for it :)
California people, I have a pair of NSD1095N and its XT1086 horn for sale
Going ballistic... ;]]] nice video!
Donnerwetter! / GREAT!!
Hi mate, how i can contact you for speaker build up, do you have any web page?
Hi, would love to read from you. You can write me at- [email protected]
The room looks stunning 👍
Can't wait to see the chamfers and slopes cuts of the final cabinet. It will be hard to beat the design of your version of the TL2!
where can I find plans for this to build myself? Great work!!!
Thanks! All the loudspeaker plan I'm following are from Troels Gravesen Website
Yep, that works
Thanks mate🙏🏼
Retired that’s it sit there everyday
Wheres the sound demo you posted with these white TL2s ?
I deleted some music videos of this speaker, it didn't came so good
@@noamgellerdiy Awww I really liked it
By the way you had another TL2 demo with white speakers.. did you delete that video ?
The more I watch DIY videos on speakers and cabinets, the more I appreciate the level of skill you have and put into these pieces. I have to ask.. how did you model your magico design? Did you match it to the volume of the CNO Mk II or Mk III (now up on their site.) Did you have to change the XO because the Mk III shows the tweeter slightly behind the driver. Thx
Thank you Michael 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 For the magico mini, I used every photo I could find on the net and photoshoped it into the CAD. Then I had the (almost) original size of the real deal down to the millimeter, as well the placement of drivers. Turns out the the magico mini has a capacity of 22Liter. The cno had 24Liter if I'm not mistaken... so it was easy to ignore the 2 Liters. So I went all on Magico and disregarded the cno design. Still sounds good 😉
@@noamgellerdiy Thanks for the reply. Did you keep the same cross over? Would love to PM you and talk about this further. Are you on any of the DYI speaker forums?
@michaelsegel8758 sure, you can contact me at [email protected]
So which troels speaker do you like the best out of the ones you've built/heard
Hands down the TL2. I haven't had the CNO4 long enough to pass a fair judgment but I tend to prefer High efficiency and big boxes over modern size speakers. With the TL2 (the original one) you get envelopes in a huge sound stage. Dynamics are crazy and sounstage and mids are too die for. The only problem is size and cost. And... Big boxes should be build with strong materials and lots of bracing, I often see people "spending" lots of money on the kit and then building a box out of MDF... such a waste!
@@noamgellerdiyHave you heard the A50-mk2? Also how did the TL2 compare to commercial speakers you have heard ?
Unfortunately haven't heard the A50, would love too. Commercial speakers wise- I would put them in the same boat as Goebel Divin Marquis. I heard them last year in Munich and thought- Very similar sound signature! Again-very much depends on how and from what materials the TL2 are being made. If you put them in a 30-70Sqm room with proper acoustics and gear they will walk over some very expensive speakers
@@noamgellerdiyWow amazing man. For TL2 to be at the level of divin marquis.. truly mind blowing. My audio buddy doesn't believe it but I believe you. I think Troels is a genius!
@@Smood47 Well some words for your friend then :) -Everybody are using the same drivers and crossover components, using the same old ways of calculating response... there is a saying in German "everybody bakes bread with flour and water". -High End speakers are obliged to have high end prices if they want to attract the costumers. The general crowd still believe that "If it doesn't cost as much as competitor speaker B then it must be worse", pushing the high end industry into a ridiculous pathetic price inflation that seems to get out of control in the last 15 years. - Have you noticed that Goebel Subwoofers Divin Sovereign seems to use the same BMS 18n860? look it up, the driver seems to be identical.
It appears smaller than the regular tl2. Could you elaborate a bit on the differences?
Yes, this baby TL2 has only 80L (the whole speaker). It is my attempt of creating a TL2 with higher WAF Yet still with The original dynamics. It will take some time but for the moment it sounds promising
Subscribed. Is that a 10inch bass driver in a sealed box?
Thanks! 12inch sealed
sounds tight, very nice
Superb finish and workmanship. I have built 3 of Troels loudspeakers, the one I am keeping is the Revelator 851, very well ballanced. The finish i had problems with as I used MDF, next time if there is one , I will use Baltic Birch or similar. I did look at the CNO4 but a bit out of reach financially.
Thanks mate for you comment 🙏🏼 Yes, Troels designs can get really expensive, really fast. I do urge you however to try your next build with 30mm plywood, I really believe it makes a difference. Beech being superior to birch. Here in Germany they cost almost the same- expensive!
I hear the Dynamic - on my Thinkpad 😍 - well done Noam !!!
Thank you Oscar!! I am thrilled that the experiment works 🙌
Hi Noam I am amazed by your builds the vocals sound so life like. I was wondering your using what looks like a bel canto 3.7 and now you use a gustard R26...Maybe? Was wondering what one you like the best. Im getting ready to build Troels Fusion Really appreciate your imput
Hello Henry, thank you for your comment 🙏🏼. I have bought the Gustard R26 and I'm very very pleased with it. I also now days listen with a SET amp 845, I think Troels Gravesen builds will always profit from tubes. Which Fusion speaker are you building?
Excuse me Noam, the Bms are in 175 liters net and the two reflex tubes are 30cm. long and 10.3cm. in diameter ,right? Troels says that the fb is 32 hz,in my opinion it is at least 3/4 hz (28/29) lower, have you measured it? Thanks so much.
I haven't measured it but calculation suggest fb is 32hz. I assure you that it feels much deeper
@@noamgellerdiy OK,thanks so much👍👍
Very nice build! Love the paint!
what paint (satin black) is used on the back?
I have used 2k lack from the germann company Lignal Hesse
Wow, simply amazing. Have to ask where you sourced your Panzerholtz? I don't think I can find it in the US. Would love to pick your brain over these...
Thank you Michael, as far as I know Panzerholz is a German product. Delignit is the name of the firm. Very hard to come by also here in Germany... and the costs are ridiculous, about 300€ for 1sqm.
@@noamgellerdiy Have you heard about Lignostone it is another brand of densified wood like Panzerholtz / Delignt.
Thank you for that, I was not aware of it@@michaelsegel8758
What a great build! You must have loved doing this project and it shows! Thanks for sharing 😅
Thank you! 🙏
Lovely!
I am sure. This room sound great. A kind of audiophile dream room.

Joe Bonamassa - Blues deluxe
I'm gonna build one of his projects but I'm going to use an MDF product called glacier green which is used in high end painted kitchen cabinet manufacturing. I somehow don't like the idea of using ply. I also would hae a preference to use all Scanspeak drivers. Wonder if that is designed?
Sure, strongly suggest to look at Troels Gravesen website, he works a lot with scan speak drivers.
@@noamgellerdiy Already been there before your video. What kind of $$ did you have in this finished project? I am more than capable of ding the work. I have 10' x 5' CNC Router with ATC, and mainly FELDER machines in my shop. This is likely my net project but not sure my approach yet.
@@philstevens9914 the next4 kit costs about 5k. So High End for small money. I have just built the CNO4. The CNO4 is the better loudspeaker....
@@noamgellerdiy The investment cost is peanuts compared to buying Wilson's etc. I'm also looking at subs and also amplification. You build amps right?
@@philstevens9914 @philstevens9914 absolutely. My reference loudspeaker fron Troels is the mighty TL2. It is I think the best he had done, apart from the latest A50. I do not build amps... but the TL2 uses tge Hypex Fa501 delivering 400watt in 4 ohms to the 18inch BMS woofers. No need for subs.... and no need for expensive high watt gear for the upper module since you can biamp your speaker either with SET amp ( tubes) or First Watt J2 ( Nelson pass) with 95db the TL2 will rock also with 20watt.
Wow, nicely done, you are one lucky guy to have such a beautiful listening room. I bet it sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this beautiful comment 🙏
Masterclass. There is simply no words to describe how impressed I am by your work Noam 😍 Incredibly well done, beautiful, stylish, everything ….. 😎
Thank you so much for your comment, appreciate it very very much 🙏🙏🙏❤
What bookshelf speakers are those?
Those are Magico wannabe (cno.mk2) that I built about 5 years ago.
VERY nice finish on the MDF panels! Did you use Jantzen iron core with disc inductors for bass? I wonder which is better, the discy the discless one?
Thank you! I never use MDF, only plywood beech. Without the iron core are supposed to be better. The ones who use flat copper are even better.
At 7:35 there was a visible iron core inductor (grey disc top)... @@noamgellerdiy
@@staLkerhu true! Already forget... if you are interested check Troels Gravesen website, there's lots of information over there
Super cool!
You need to get out a bit more pal!
Absolutely beautiful. The 'bookshelf' speakers are gorgeous. What brand is that? Congrats and enjoy.
Thank you! Those speakers are speakers I've built some 5 years ago. Here ist the build process kzread.info/dash/bejne/h2uBj7ivYZvKj5s.html
Nice build, top👍 I like to build a troels design, but wich one? I have the Omega from Infinity and I like it. So a new speaker schuld be a beter one,to me. Has troels a listning room? Thanks Rudolf
Hallo Rudolf and thank you. That is the biggest question... depending on so many variables. If you have room for it and you partner for life accepting it I still highly recommend the TL2. With the cno4 not yet broken in, I cannot give it a fair judgment, all I can say for now is that it is a step up from the Next4 for sure.
If you want you are welcome to contact me per mail, I will elaborate some more. All the best!
@@noamgellerdiy thanks for this😁 I wil have a look at the TL2 I was reading over the ellipticor-3,also Nice. Thanks. Rudolf
There is also the TL1…
TL1 and TL2 are more or less the same, the TL2 is a bit narrower.
Looks great! Good motivation for me to finally finish my speakers 😅
We NEED sound demo once it's broken in!!!🥰
I'll give it a try if I get permission from the costumer 👍🏻
