Two People in Paradise

We are Jessica and Ryan, two expats from Canada who liquidated everything to start a new life in El Salvador -- one week after our wedding. This is the story of our adventures in the country, our experiences with the wonderful Salvadoran people, and all this beautiful Bitcoin country has to offer.

Ever since I saw an interview with Bukele, I fell in love with El Salvador. I’m curious to know what would it take financially to be able to retire there from Canada?

My Inlaws are retiring there, (my mother in law is from there). As is my wife. Houses are more expensive than my house in Long Island. Just my guess but china will own like 33% or the country by 2030.

You are right, prices, will not stay low as long as a greedy company like yours is around. So much greed. You are exicited to charge way above the local prices. Construction is not expensive or the land how do you justify prices so high when there is no othe comperables that high. Greedy company.

How can you justify the prices so high. Seems to me that you are a company that do not care about the locals. They can not afford it. Sad. The greed.😢

The country needs investment, preferably industrial and employ people and export. Real estate is part of it but does not benefit anyobe else than a few rich guys. This is a problem. It will help in short term then the economy will heavily rely on it then stall. I saw it happening over and over again in the otherside of the world where I’m from.

El Salvador is a great country, the people is hard working and whiling to makes sacrifices for their families and friends, the country has been plague by civil war, gangs and corruption that spread it on people around the world, but many years of praying and pleading to God from the people of El Salvador 🇸🇻 now are seeing those prayers answered providing a leader that love the country and his people and he has a vision for a amazing country, the weather is great, the people is loving, welcoming, hard working with hunger to learn and to move forward, the geography is beautiful, beaches, lakes, mountains, volcanoes all within short distance, so happy for this community and the organization that is building a better El Salvador 🇸🇻 God bless you and God bless El Salvador 🇸🇻, his president and all it’s people!! 🙏

I feel the same, it's like I'm being kicked out of my home, force out of my country, but starting to feel like there is no choice anymore to do so..... I'm being taxe out, they raised the capital gain from 50 to 67%, inflation and so many thing that are completely ridiculous, cost of living is through the roof and just doesn't make sense anymore to fight, the woke movement and so on!

How much money do I need to start a new life in El Salvador? I'm relatively poor, have around 50k in property value and nothing else. I'm terrified of what's happening here in England, imo we've been sold to the Saudis, and it's turning into a Muslim country. I need to get out. I have a fiance who's unwilling to leave because she doesn't see the threat that's coming. Big question: How much money do I need to start a new life in El Salvador?

You are better off working remote, local jobs are very bad, they usually don't pay more than $300-400 USD a month, even being a professional you can't expect to make much more than $700 USD a month.

No Central Bank pilfering acquired wealth. The cost reflects the Dollar lost value against Bitcoin. I believe El Salvador has accepted Bitcoin as a currency. In 2019 Bitcoin was trading at about 19,000. It is now over 60,000!

Hi Ryan and Jessica. We are from Vancouver, Canada and we have been going back and forth to El Salvador since 2010 where we first moved to El Salvador. We lived in El Salvador , Santa Ana, with our two boys for about 4 years, going back and forth because of things just nowrking out for us. We just moved back again to El Salvador in February and we are not going back to Canada. I am looking for a call center job also, but not having any luck. What call center are you guys working for, if you don't mind asking me. We love your videos and wish you guys all the best in El Salvador. Maybe one day we'll meet, which would be awesome.
