    Loved Jeff George. Typical Vikes team from that time: prolific offense, porous defense.

    What would've the '98 Vikes looked like with Jeff George as the QB?

    0:11 The linebacker for the Jets passes up on an opportunity to annihilate Favre…maybe it would be pass interference or illegal contact.

  • @tylerseboe
    @tylerseboe8 күн бұрын

    0:12 Also, it was well executed because even though it looked like an end around, the OL (especially #40 at the bottom of the screen) didn’t illegally advance beyond the line of scrimmage (the 40) before it was thrown.

    Always did enjoy watching these 2 teams collide. An old rivalry, stemming out of the early seventies that featured many great battles. But as good as those teams were, they were never able to win the ultimate prize. And even today, the Vikings still have not. If there were ever a time, that ‘98 squad most definitely should have been the one to capture a Super Bowl title.

    Just think if Jeff George would have been on the Bills this year and beyond or drafted by the Bills in 1990 he would have a lot of Super Bowls.

    Tough loss for the Cowboys. Game was blacked out, locally; because the team wasn’t doing so well. Their record was padded by a couple scab team victories. Their secondary was awful and they couldn’t pass block. Also had no deep threat receivers. Danny Whites wrist was never the same, after having broken it in ‘86; but he and Renfro made things interesting that day.

    The Bills blew it when they insisted on Rob Johnson instead of Flutie. Pound for pound, Flutie was the most talented.

    Just off the top of my head...I believe the 67 yard screen play was not the longest offensive score in 1998. Robert Smith had a 74 yard TD RUN at Rams in week 2.
