    As an attorney, the hours counter is super useful (for billing time). It’s automatic, thin enough to fit under a dress shirt cuff and doesn’t make me nervous like a Daytona. This and the 38mm Zenith El primero are best in class.

    Mido Multi Star TV Case 70'S Vintage Automatic Men's Watch Swiss ETA 2879 - MIDO introduced their first TV watch in 1973. Patek did not release the Nautilus until 1976, good review but this shoud be corrected, in any case the Nautilus has many similarities to Mido TV Case same as the Glashutte Original of Soviet era East Germany, Mido TV case is the Original look at the Mido Multi Star. last but not least: In 1979 Piaget introduced the Polo, after the 1976 Nautilus and 6 Years after Mido Multistar TV case.

    650 service on a JLC, that is amazing. I’ve got the 50th Anniversary Polaris Memovox, I can only dream of a 650 service on that. How is yours running, I saw you have the previous model (which I think I like more) with the almost pumpkin fauxtina. That’s a beauty.

    I’m under 40 and love JLC, and this watch specifically. Really like the dial, and the ss bracelet makes the watch very versatile (which I think the watch lacked with just the calfskin strap). Was able to get mine for $17.5k with the ss bracelet from my AD

  • @JimiTime1

    Thank you for the tip! Maybe I’ll be lucky and save a few coin when I decide to get mine lol. Congratulations on yours, adding a chronograph to this complication is just a stellar combo! • @Smplctyy

    @@JimiTime1 about 6 months. It’s been great. Don’t wear it as my everyday, but you definitely could. Like I said in my initial comment, just a really versatile watch on the bracelet that works for both casual and dressy situations. 40mm is a great diameter for my wrist size. Slim profile for a chronograph. Like the bracelet a lot (looks and feels good on the wrist, easy to use micro adjust, etc). Don’t have any negatives, honestly. Also, this is very much personal preference, but I really like the look of the watch. White / silver-ish dial that plays with the light, subtle contrast with blue subdial hands, symmetrical, etc.

    Subscribed! I'm looking for this watch. Chrono24 prices are one thing, I'm not sure exactly what the going rate is for them but I'd guess it's a bit under retail. My old friend from grade school sells watches, among other things and I'm hoping he can give me a good deal and give me a better sense of what these watches actually go for. I plan on trading three watches for it and hopefully don't have to pay a penny, but that might be dreaming. I'm 32 and also a JLC fan boy. You're not the only one! I've liked this watch for at least five years. While I don't love the price increases, JLC is still undervalued, and I'm grateful for that. Look at how nuts VC prices are. They sell a non chronograph steel complete calendar with a moon phase for 24.7!!!! And the time only version at least, is a Cartier-made movement. Shame! lol. JLC might be the best bang for buck for watches in this class. I think it's hard to argue against that.

  • @JimiTime1
    @JimiTime12 ай бұрын

    Thanks for subscribing and for your thoughtful comment. It's great to hear from another JLC fan! You're right about the prices on Chrono24-there can be a bit of fluctuation. Trading three watches for a JLC sounds like a solid plan! I traded twk watches for my 1968 Memovox Tribute, and don’t regret it! I completely agree with you about JLC being undervalued compared to brands like VC. The craftsmanship and heritage of JLC make it a standout choice in the luxury watch market. Despite the price increases, they still offer incredible value for what you get. Good luck with your search, and feel free to share any updates on your watch journey!

    This is my "everyday" watch that I wear for work or for outside activities. (I have an Omega SMP and a Tudor BB58 that I wear for "best.") Sometimes the (in)accuracy of the 6r movement bothers me, but I find the more that I wear the watch, the more accurate it is. I keep it on the rubber strap it came with; I really like that strap, but seeing it on some different strapes in your video makes me want to swap it out and experiment with other straps. It's an awesome looking watch, and when the sun hits that green sunburst dial it in the daytime it makes me smile; then I go inside to work and the lume just glows... It's a beauty, to be sure.
