  Classic. Didn't become familiar with his work until after he'd died. If local CCM stations still played the songs from the 90's I grew up with, I'd be listening to some Rich Mullins while having my breakfast and coffee.

  This gay man glimpsed something sacred that shines through his music. It wasn’t your nonexistent magic sky daddy. It wasn’t you dead Jesus. It was something older and greater. This man was a true pagan wrapped in Christian clothing. It’s a shame the he had to hide in a closet just so that you would buy his cd’s.

  I was saved when I was 14. That was the year that Winds of Heaven Stuff of Earth came out. I fell madly in love with a girl at my church. We dated for about a year before she broke up with me. I was heartbroken but it was good for me. Now I am 50 and and apostate. Now whenever I hear Rich Mullins all I can think about is her boobs.

  Rich was a songwriter for whom there's not words to describe how special he was. I know it was "his time", but it still feels as if he was gone too soon. I think this is my favorite song of all. When I'm in the pit of depression, I play this song, close my eyes, & envision myself, a tiny thing, sitting in Jesus' lap while He holds me & rocks in a rocking chair. He is my Comfort. He is my Family. He is my Best Friend. He is my Everything.

  I think in many ways his deaths began the end of Contemporary Christian Music-the change towards over commercialized music had started, but Mullins was in some ways like a prophet keeping the wolves at bay. The worship songs today that promote the self can’t compare to music like this

  I asked Jesus to save me after watching Ragamuffin 3 yrs ago. How is it possible to miss someone i haven't met yet? In heaven soon as I hug Jesus and thank Him we're both gonna go find Rich.
