  Nanti di bulan Juli ..tahun baru Islam atau kami Jawa sebut suro. Di kota Ponorogo. Tiap thn ada festival budaya reog...dan kadang ada perwakilan dari negara lain dan ini ada lomba juga..Jawa timur ... Reog Ponorogo..

  Dear Susan & Jenine, If you hv more time to stay in indonesia. Kindly pls visit my hometown in ponorogo (east java) there will be reog festival in July. So many local culinary with cheapest and best quality. Both of you may stay in my house (which is free of charge). The house is very close to beautiful rice field. So many frogs and birds sound at night.

  I heard that Indonesia is the one country that has the highest number of cigarettes smokers compared to any other country! Seriously! I wonder what the lung cancer statistics are? I imagine the real numbers are quite high.

  Aaaawwwwww, my friend just returned to Alaska after spending two years in Bali. She said Sumbawa was becoming a whale shark tourist destination. I was there in 2013-2014 staying periodically with a local family. I loved it and not many ppl spoke English.
