    Nice video! Direct and to the point. I too have been using Flight Simulator since version 2 in the mid 80’s. 3rd generation pilot as well. I am now an all piston guy with a slant towards older military aircraft and period military scenery although I still fly out of the same grass strip in the sim I fly in and out of in real life. I’ve been providing content for a year now so I’m kind of settling into my niche. Thanks a bunch for sharing this and I gave you a sub 👍. Keep up the good work. -Mike

    That is interesting as to what would cause that, I don’t know, not without seeing first hand what you are doing. The only thing i can think of is that you didn’t retract the flaps after takeoff. Or the landing gear is still extended

    I did try it when it first came out and it was good the reason i didn’t go with it at the time was the cost for what it did… I am sure it has improved just like BATC has improved since the video I made. Might have to give it another try

    @@V_F_Diaries ….definitely has improved. Yes, it is rather pricey, but I wouldnt say more than BATC “if” one uses premium voices all the time and flies a lot. I fly 5-7 flights per week, so its definitely being used. They are very hopeful that cost will come down in the next weeks ahead.

    Your welcome… I’m glad it was helpful i was reading before the invention of this monitor leaning the old school methods were acceptable and still are for those planes that don’t have the EDM installed the benefit of the engine monitor is that you are more accurate and in-turn extend the useful life of your engine. The other common method used is to lean the engine for fuel flow which is given in the performance charts.

    Do you leave the mixture full rich on climbout to FL250? I noticed the manual says that you don't really need to change it, but am not sure if that applies to all situations.

  • @V_F_Diaries
    @V_F_DiariesАй бұрын

    I want to add that it’s 25000’ Density altitude so it can fluctuate you might start to see a fall of passing FL240 or it might not start falling off until as high as FL260 it depends on the atmospheric conditions on that day

    Great video mate once again!! I'm not sure how deep your knowledge of the duke is but if you could go over all of the diagrams in the aircraft tablet I reckon that'd be awesome as lots of people I think are very keen to fully learn the duke! Systems like the air conditioning and the pressurisation I think would make for an awesome video. Just want to put it out there for a video idea perhaps?

  • @V_F_Diaries

    I seriously am glad you’re liking the videos. That’s a brilliant idea about a nuts and bolts type video thank you…my knowledge of Duke is only based on the simulation here. The only real time i have is in a Cessna 172 but couldn’t finish flight school long story. I like to read a lot too even materials not provided. Like the engine POH for the tio-541’s. Then i just put everything into practice. I’ll post a link in the description to that manual in the next video since in cruise there is more talk about the engines.

  • @V_F_Diaries
    @V_F_Diaries2 ай бұрын

    Thank for watching…Unfortunately simworks studios didn’t model the weather radar in the PC-12 you can get weather through the Nexrad options in the GPS units all of them have including the free WT GNS 530. But i believe the pms gtn 750 has to be the pay version and the TDS GTN xi (the one in the video) is amazing but expensive to get.

  • @davehart9887
    @davehart98872 ай бұрын

    @@V_F_Diaries that’s great info thank you. I do have a few other questions on the PC-12 is it normal above 200 kn for the elevator to flutter. Do you also have any advice for Settings on the pressurization system in the Sim, thanks again for great video

  • @V_F_Diaries
    @V_F_Diaries2 ай бұрын

    Thanks…I never noticed that if it is doing that that has to be a bug i would say that it isn’t supposed to flutter. The pressurization it is pretty easy because it’s mostly automated. The large dial you want to set your cruise altitude +500 feet. and make sure you have the ECS switch in the auto position then you’re good. The problem that the PC-12 has is it is climbing too fast and it actually out climbs the cabin and you get a warning, what i found works is when you’re climbing up to cruise is set the speed hold a little higher like 160-165 and it gives you a slower climb rate so the pressurization can keep up. I read on sim works studio discord that they are fixing all that in the next update including the slightly exaggerated side slip that occurs on approach. According to them there was a typo on the spreadsheet they used to code the prop dynamics and it got put into the plane. Making it over powered apparently that has all been fixed for the next update but they’re not saying when they’re releasing that patch probably after sim update 15 i would guess
