I was the Security Project Manager I worked there for 9 years . 1990 to 1999 he forgot to mention the 2 roof top gardens I couldn’t believe it closed I would bet I spent more time walking those isles and riding those escalators than anyone alive.😂 so many memories. Every time the camera panned to the glass dome the first memory to come to mind is the day one post lost about 7 to 10 paints of glass I mean they were five blocks away on market Street. One post is obviously right across the street and we had Glass Pain stabbed into the tower at two different places and also straight down into the Galleria rooftop when I got of the BART train I went into Crisis Management mode? I shut down Post street to foot and vehicle traffic. I remember when the first cop car showed up Officer says what the hell do you think you’re doing? Ignoring him while speaking to my radio , I finally turned and said “ I’m glad your here, I need you to go to the corner and relieve my security officer” he had no idea what was going on. He looked at me like who are you to give me orders? I said look up! Eight floors up was an entire pain of glass 1/4 of it was stabbing through one of my windows. As he raced of to the end of the block I screamed and get a hard hat on. So many memories.
