Ninja Gaiden is my fuel. The sheer satisfaction of finally GETTING WHAT THE GAME ID TRYING TO MAKE YOU DO is unmatched. It is technically an ultrafast turn based game. Then comes Ninja Gaiden 2 and says "wanna do 6 lines of cocaine and boot up a game? We gotchu"

This game was and still is an amazing game. The "easiness" just makes it better, chill fun game that doesn't frustrate you and ruin the experience. Going for 100% is the real challenge but still fun. And the music, my god the OST is just amazing, Not a single bad track to be found. The art style is just timeless, it still looks great. I am so glad that i bought it. I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it these days.

I'm hoping to do the same stuff for mainly Soulstice, as well as games like Cookie Cutter, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, My Familiair, Moonhood Studio's & Amanita Design's respective new games, The Mermaid's Tongue/The Mermaid Mask, Loco Motive, Blud, Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip, and more. Good luck going forward! i hope these efforts will be of good effect.

I see so many people hate fallout 3 I like that about fallout 3 where a lot of other games I feel shoe horned into being good or like I am making the game boring by being good fallout new Vegas is a great example of how if I side with NCR it’s gonna make a very boring story but 3 idk the wastes where already so messed up that I would honestly feel bad about being evil NV does that even better where u go okay I actually kinda feel remorse for what I did I just burnt a tree man with a flame thrower and listened to him scream in agony or made a man who misses his wife n kids shoot himself turn it off XD but 3 actually made me feel like my actions where doing good and that I was helping the world heal and not very many games ever could capture that essence honestly fable 2 even thoe u can be evil it didn’t really feel like there where very many differences for ur karmatic choices fable 1 & 3 yah sure but yah certainly fallout 3 NV infamous & undertale are great examples of how to do morality right and a karma system which ends up being my fave thing about games giving players choices is the ultimate reason why gaming is better then movies and books to a degree personally I don’t need every decision to be morally grey until I get fallout 4 I sometimes like cartoonishly villainous things because that’s a games job to allow me to do stuff I’d never do irl n that can stand for wether u wanna be the hero n save people without fear of getting hurt or destroying the world n laughing as it goes up in flames

Ninja gaiden is more of an combat puzzle game then an action game since action games focus on flashy combos and combat and gaiden focuses on killing your enemies as fast as possible in the most efficent way in every encounter.

I love that you mention your age juxtaposed to how long Harold has been rooted. I grew up with the og fallouts and this was the one quest in fallout 3 that took effort to build on lore and have you make a tough decision. So much that even if you didnt know Harold from the isometric games before the established character and distinct location made this memorable and seem important. Bethesda games have decent enough mechanics but they lack in decision and a consistent universe where your choices matter. Oasis is one that sticks out and feels up to par even to New Vegas's Jacobstown questlines. Short and sweet, but also nails lore and choices. TTW is the best way to visit these games, ive recently went back and Fallout 3 with New Vegas gun mechanics and survival is great. Especially with the JIP companions command and control mod that gives you better party mechanics and hud for your followers. Really makes you choose your teammates and their gear as you have to supply and repair it all, making it truly feel like an RPG that is vast.

Odd, you didn't seem to mention the challenge these games give. Like, yeah, you got points on how the options are a major part of it, as well as the style and scoring systems, but you didn't really mention how the enemies have to actually fight back too. I mean, don't get me wrong, I am more than happy to style on my enemies, but Bayonetta ain't gonna dodge if the enemies aren't fighting back. Also, I think there's no contest here, God Hand is the absolute best, hands down.

  • @Thiccness_Is_Delicious

Nioh sold like hotcakes the gaiden series has always been niche which is why they don't make them anymore, as well as the creator leaving team ninja, he made a game called wanted dead and its hotdog water so sorry to tell you souls likes and actual action combat games like boyonetta and DMC are the future not clunky puzzle gaiden.

I appreciate the distinction between 2D and 3D platformer game design, it helps contextualize WHY that extra dimension of movement matters so much I also appreciate the background footage showing SA2 as an example of good movement, because it feels like the Sonic stages have not gotten the respect they deserve lately for that flow and movement. The Homing Attack is, in my opinion, a brilliant way to take the 2D “jump on an enemy’s head as a quick platform” idea and translate it to 3D

i like how bloodborne starts with a sepia palette in central yharnam and have a black and white palette near the entrance to fishing hamlet , on the clock, signifying that is we will see the most old memory. The secret that the nightmare hiddens. A memory of a murder of a mother and her unborn child.

Have you ever done a video about Game Modes? Like what makes a good game mode in a video game, what makes it feel arbitrary, etc.? I'm working on a unique style of game and kind of stuck thinking of possible game modes for it, and I think a video that analyzes game modes and what makes them work could help people come with ideas for different game modes that could apply to the games that they're making

I started playing skullgirls recently and I don’t like it very much. I want to, it’s my first fighting game, but it feels clunky, and so much information not provided by the game I can’t find anywhere online. I keep practicing but it seems that my efforts aren’t working with how a lot of people say it’s so easy.

The Ziad Guide is a channel that is doing a lot of guides regarding aspects of the game that make easy to follow the explanation.

i actually think that the cutscenes in dmc and bayonetta are rather poor: at first i feel motivated, but then i actually get to play and the character is suddenly much weaker, and i mean that in terms of pure physical impact: you can't just one shot basic enemies with your pistols in dmc and bayonetta, so it creates this weird and really annoying disconnect. like, 'i'm the most badass thing in existence, so why is it so hard?' it's similar to the problem in doom 2016 where the descriptions you read about yourself and your gear make you sound completely indestructible, but then you start the game and die to 2 fireballs. 'nigh indestructible armor' my ass...

I don’t know if you have videos like this, but I would love to see videos on your favorite 3D platformers (collectathons, whatever) and analyze what makes them individually unique and why they standout in their specific design.
