Best jaw vibrato

Sorry but any trombonist who has to use his slide to make vibrato isn't a real pro.This guy is as cheesy as he looks...figures he is playing in Vegas!

Using the slide for vibrato is a technique that is used in jazz. I've never seen a trombonist use their jaw for vibrato in jazz. The jaw vibrato technique is VERY common in classical music, though. And you saying that he's not a real pro JUST because he's using slide vibrato AND because he's playing in Las Vegas... pssh what do you know...
@idiotdetector850610 жыл бұрын
You are a moron. You have never seen any real jazz artists then. You cannot name any other jazz artists who do that. Please name them. You dont know what the hell you are talking about. Are you even a trombonist? Clearly not.
@cadencesweetser690710 жыл бұрын
Hummmmmnnn..... Wycliffe Gordon, Jiggs Whigham, J.J. Johnson, Kai Winding... Pretty much every famous trombonist uses both techniques or slide... Anyways, what makes you think that slide vibrato is so bad? Did someone tell you that? If so, who?
@idiotdetector850610 жыл бұрын
hahaha youre clueless. Wycliff Gordon is not a top player AND he doesnt use the slide except maybe on occassion...JJ Johnson wrong. Kai Winding is a joke.. You are clueless. I love how o left out so many of the greats hahahaha.. You dipshit. When you play the t-bone we can talk. Until then get lost chump.

pls brah. I've met Wycliffe and Jiggs. They are amazing and they're very kind (unlike you). And Kai Winding is actually amazing -- have you heard him play with J.J.... Their tone/improvisation is VERY similar. J.J. got all of the fame, but Kai is amazing. Curtis Fuller, Slide Hampton, Delfayo Marsalis, Fred Wesley, Tommy Dorsey, and modern trombonists such as Trombone Shorty... There are soooo many that I left out and they're are all amazing. (And just so you know, I've been playing trombone/piano for 7 years. Pls. pls. no need to fight. Just calm down.)

Actually, the record was released by Project 3 records. I STILL HAVE IT, plus a copy of the original 21 Trombones vinyl where this arrangement originated. And I am simply thrilled that, over 40 years later, this amazing, rich music has not only NOT been forgotten but is being maintained and cherished by the likes of Jiggs and his New Trombone Collective. WAY TO GO, GUYS!!!
