It's cool seeing Jake playing on some EVH amps. Jake and Eddie might be my fav guitarists from the era.

I like JEL better than Randy R. In fact, Jake was one of the most talented guitar players of those years. He turned down so many gigs for Ozzy and in the end didn't work out.

What is the reason for stripping the little piece of the black layer? Is just to thin the cable for it to sit properly in the plug?

Love Jake E Lee, favorite OZZY guitarist outside Randy. But…always wondered if he regretted leaving Ratt just before their Boom for Ozzy, where Sharon fucked him. Just a thought.

Ozzy was the biggest piece of excrement in music history but he was continually blessed with the best guitar players. Mean while he lives on while his peers all drop dead. Karma is a myth

Jake's probably the most underrated guitarist ever. My older brother, who taught me to play guitar, was a huge Randy fan, but got the Bark at the Moon cassette and was mind blown. Both were awesome guitarists but in different ways. Ozzy sure had a knack for picking guitarists, but they (and Bob Daisley) certainly carried him.

That part with F# to D...to E... he's saying that he held the F# down for tension thru those chords. He did not do that on the record. I've heard the solo guitar track for Bark At The Moon. The bass does it....but he does not. I know that technically that F# should be held down thru those chords...and I've always done it when I play it. But....he didn't do it on the studio recording. The bass does it. I just get a kick out of how he's saying that's the way he does it...but he didn't do it on the record.

Wow... all those broken strands and you used the supplied stripper. I strip my insulation with a blade and if I cut a single strand I start over. I was trained as a tech at a theatre production company and if a cable I made failed I'd never hear the end of it!
