Good product. A good table saw and a couple of blades will make it easier and give you a cleaner cut. A squared flat porch is an easy install, odd shaped porches can be a nightmare. It seems that the screws were always right where I needed to cut but that was this time.
I am gonna be honest as a vintage fan enthusiast and a vintage fan collector I can almost guarantee any vintage fan from the 70s and earlier will outlast these fans and any fan that’s on the market today any day just because it has a wooden spiny thing along with the fan blades doesn’t make it a better fan and it’s honestly just a gimmick I have a Lasko stand fan that I bought at goodwill back in March of 22 and it was made in 2003 the thing is a power house and 20 + years later it’s still going strong

I just bought this expensive fan in maple colour. After opening the box I was shocked to find it in two different tones (poor quality, no quality control)the ceiling cap and the light cover are in one tone, whilst the rod and blades are in a different tone? this will look terrible in my new house.

Why not just use a hole saw push the junction box in and install the light on top? That way you don't need that ugly plywood piece

you dont know? LED are always better than incandescent! LED light bulb 25,000 or 100,000 hours can life last and low watt and can 3500k and 4000k for home and can battery! incandescent light bulbs 1,000 hours cant life and higher watt really bad and 2700k and 2000k and CANT BATTERY!

That junction box hole. Bit of a hack job. Wow. A major issue is that the 'after' picture looks good. The homeowner does not know that they now have a possible water ingress point around that fixture. Maybe the caulk protects it, but what if the water gets behind the siding about it? What if the caulk fails? But from the outside, it is an improvement over the previous installation.
Terrible! This would never fly with anyone who wants a safe, dry and good looking installation.
