The length of the mandibular canine from cusp tip to root apex is shorter than the maxillary canine. And the width of the crown of the mandibular canine from mesial to distal is narrower than the maxillary canine. BUT the length of the crown from cusp tip to CEJ of the mandibular canine is longer than the maxillary canine. Hope that helps! Happy studying! 💕🦷

How to determine how many fossa each tooth have? Im struggling finding anything online. Do you have an answer or a way to figure it out :))))?

Each tooth is unique with the number of fossa, there is not a specific pattern. Though they due tend to increase in number from anterior to posterior. Incisors have 1 fossa Canines have 2 fossa Premolars have 2-3 fossa Molars have 3+ I recommend using your lecture/text book and making yourself a chart based on the lingual view of anterior teeth and the occlusal view of posterior teeth.
