Why haven’t you guys got these masks niosh approved
Great question! We've been working on it for a while, however, there is almost a 3 year wait list on getting new manufacturers inspected for NIOSH. Hope this helps clarifies things, but please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Cody
I don’t see this on the niosh approved list the cdc has
I appreciate you reaching out about this! Below is our NIOSH approval number for this product: TC-84A-9436 I would drop the link to the CDC page that shows this product as a NIOSH approved respirator, however it looks like CDC search page is down from the global outage. If you have any follow up questions, please don't hesitate to reach out! Thanks, Cody
CDC site is back up and running. Here is the approval details for your information. wwwn.cdc.gov/NIOSH-CEL/ApprovalDetails?schedule=84A&approvalNum=9436 If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks, Cody
If your working with fuel gas/disel which mask is the best?
Sorry for the delayed response here! The main component you are needing to deal with fuel gas or diesel fuel is a mask with organic vapor filter cartridges. I'd recommend going with our PD-101 industrial respirator mask or the PD-100 full face respirator mask. Both come stock with organic vapor cartridges. parcilsafety.com/collections/full-face-respirators/products/pd100-full-face-respirator parcilsafety.com/collections/full-face-respirators/products/pd101-full-face-respirator Hope this helps, but please let us know if you have any other questions! @@parcilsafety ok sounds good thank you same with the half face respirator t60 & t61?
Correct. Both will come stock with organic vapor cartridges as well. Thanks, Cody
@@parcilsafety thank you
Could you please write down the names of the mask in the comments section ?
Certainly! Below is a list of our masks and what they are best suited for: PD-100 Full Face Respirator Mask - this is our original full face respirator and comes stock with Organic Vapor Filter cartridges with particulate filter inserts. Ideal for working with non-oil based paints, sanding and grinding, epoxy resin work, etc. PD-101 Industrial respirator mask - comes with industry standard bayonet style filter cartridges - perfect for those working in an industrial setting, automotive maintenance, herbicides and pesticide spraying, or any job where you may be going through a lot of filters. ST-100X Survival Gas Mask - Affordable option if you are looking for a gas mask in case of an emergency situation such as a wildfire. NB-100 Tactical Gas Mask - comes stock with our highest rated filter canister, the DefensePro N-B-1. Perfect for your emergency preparedness bag and ideal for any situation where you may not be certain what chemical you are needing protection from. We also have a new NIOSH N100 ProSeal disposable mask and new NIOSH Half face respirators, our T-71 and T-81 UltraSeal reusable half-masks. Please let me know if you need any further information! For your next video on this silicone blanket, put the fire pit cover on the pile of logs and knock down the height, leave it on and then put the blanket on. You're welcome.
Appreciate the feedback Charles! Yeah, this was just our first attempt to show them off, but definitely plan on demonstrating different use cases better in future videos. Thanks, Cody
does it work on ebike batteries?
Hi there! Sorry for the delayed reply. But a great question. So a silicone fire blanket WILL help smother initial flames and cut off the oxygen supply from an ebike battery, however, assuming it's a lithium-ion battery, you may want to consider having a Class D fire extinguisher as well to help protect the battery from reigniting. The blanket over time will put it all the way out, but it's difficult to know how long that may take. Hope this helps and please let us know if you have any follow up questions! Cody
@@parcilsafety thank you for your reply!
I ordered one today.
Great to hear! Please let us know if you have any questions or need any further information on your purchase. Thanks, Cody
What is best for 2k clear coat paint protection?
Good question. You will most likely need a combination filter that can filter out both organic vapors and particulates. The PD-101 full face respirator comes stock with an organic vapor and particulate combination filter, so it's ready to go for you right out of the box. parcilsafety.com/products/pd101-full-face-respirator However, if you want an increased particulate rating, you may want to upgrade the filters to our MaxPro P-3-0 multipurpose filter cartridge set. parcilsafety.com/products/bayonet-abek1p3-filter-2-pack-compatible-with-pd-101-and-t-61 Please feel free to let us know if you have any follow up questions! Will this offer also be on Amazon?
Hi there! Are you talking about our BOGO? Full honesty, we matched the BOGO on Amazon last year, and with the way Amazon has customers participate in the BOGO, it just didn't perform well. This year we are going to do up to 50% off on Amazon. Hope this helps clarifies things! Thanks, Cody
@@parcilsafety okay that’s even better will the NB-100 be 50% on Amazon? For Memorial Day?
Yup! It will be on sale for $124.98 and go live on Friday and runs through Monday at midnight PST.
Just in time for payday! 🙏🏽
I wish the Nb-100 masks would feature the arctic blue visor colors they would look sick from that
Great question! We are actually working on a way to provide tinted visors separate from the gas masks and respirators. This way, we can bring out more color options quicker. However, we are still a few months out. I will bring up potentially getting some of the mirrored tints in the NB-100s with my product development manager. Thanks! Cody
@parcilsafety I'm already in love with the St-100x and I will be getting an nb once you you have the Blue visor thanks guys! :)
Which best option to use to protect against fiberglass insulation?
Great question! Because fiberglass insulation is a particulate, I'd recommend getting our P-3-P particulate filter set or KN-100 particulate filter set. Differences between the two is that P-3-P is rated for oil-based and non-oil based particulates while KN-100 is for non-oil based particulates only. Links to the listings on our website are below: parcilsafety.com/collections/safety-mask-filter/products/particulatepro-p3-r-reusable-organic-vapor-particulate-filter-bayonet-style-attachment parcilsafety.com/collections/safety-mask-filter/products/kn100-filter-set Thanks! Can the PD 100 take the 3M NIOSH approved filters for black mold? Which filter should I use for black mold removal?
Thanks for reaching out! The PD-100 can take 3M filters and cartridges. You just have to remove the grey threaded adapter to expose the bayonet style attachments on the mask. For black mold, since it's particulate-based, all you need is a P3 or P100-rated particulate filter set. We actually have our own set called the P-3-P filter set below: parcilsafety.com/collections/safety-mask-filter/products/particulatepro-p3-r-reusable-organic-vapor-particulate-filter-bayonet-style-attachment However, if you are looking for 3M, you're going to want to go with the 2091 P100 model. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Cody
Organic vapor filters DO NOT work for tear gas. Tear gas is a particulate in the form of a smoke created when the solid CS is set on fire. Only a p100/p3 filter will stop tear gas.
I appreciate the comment! Tear gas is primarily particulate, and in the video we do talk about using a dual combination organic vapor AND particulate filter when dealing with tear gas. However, depending on the specific compounds used, upon release and exposure to the air, these agents can also vaporize, creating airborne organic compounds that can affect the respiratory system. I definitely recommend using a P3 or P100 particulate filter, as these filter out 99%+ of airborne particulate. P95 or P2 will only do 95%. Thanks! Cody
Hi parcil safety idont know wich Gas mask i should buy what mask would you prefer for biohazard envoirments
Great question! If you are looking for something more for emergency preparedness in biohazard environments, then I'd recommend our NB-100 with the DefensePro N-B-1 Filter Canister. The link is below: parcilsafety.com/products/nb-100-tactical-gas-mask-full-face-respirator-with-40mm-defense-filter However, if you are looking for something that you may be using during your day-to-day work, then I'd suggest the NB-100B with MaxPro P-3-0 filter cartridges, as it comes in the industry standard bayonet style. This link is also below: parcilsafety.com/products/nb-100b-tactical-gas-mask-with-bayonet-style-filter-ports-full-face-respirator-with-maxpro-p-3-0-multipurpose-filter-cartridges Please let me know if you have any other questions! Would this be good when dealing with heavy gas vapor while wearing a hard hat ?
We do have customers who wear the PD-101 or PD-100 under hard hats, but depending on the the gas vapors you are dealing with, you may need to upgrade the filter cartridges. With the PD-100 and PD-101, they both come with organic vapor cartridges. If you are dealing with acidic gases, inorganic vapors, or ammonia derivatives, you'd need to upgrade to the MaxPro P-3-0 cartridges. With that being said, our NB-100B actually comes stock with the MaxPro P-3-0 cartridges and it features a 6 point mesh hard harness, which is typically more comfortable to wear under a hard hat over the 5-point that comes on the PD-100 and PD-101. Thanks! Cody
@parcilsafety thanks. I ended up getting the pd 101 Saturday n it work amazing. I deliver gasoline to the gas station so when loading my trailer the vapor are very strong but wit the mask u don't smell anything. Nomore feeling out of breath.
Would this work for spray foam application?
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Since most spray foam contains isocyanates, which are organic vapors, all three of our industrial full face respirators will work. This is because each mask comes stock with an organic vapor and particulate dual combination filter. One thing to note is that if you are spraying in an enclosed area, I'd recommend upgrading to the MaxPro P-3-0 cartridges, as they have 99% particulate ratings. But if you're in a well-ventilated area, then the stock cartridges will work just fine. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Cody
Can you see clearly with the tinted options? Or better getting the clear lens?
It's great question! You can definitely see in neutral and even low light conditions. Where you may struggle is in heavy darkness, like outside at night with no moonlight or street lights. I actually just took a photo at our office, looking through the Inferno Red tint lens, with our lights off (only sunlight coming in through the windows). KZread doesn't have the ability to attach a photo. If you want, we can email you the photo if you want to email us at [email protected] . Thanks! Cody
Thinking of getting the pd 101 for cutting concrete. Does this work for that so i dont get concrete lung ?
Yes! Working with concrete is a common application of the PD-101. Since concrete is a particulate, you will be able to use the PD-101 with it's stock P-A-3 filter cartridge set. Only time where you may need to upgrade to a different cartridge set is if you are using a non-organic vapor sealant, stain, or paint. Hope this helps! Thanks, Cody
@parcilsafety one more question. Will I be able to use 3M filters like I have on my half face mask or do I need ones made for this mask?
Sorry for the delay here. The PD-101 takes bayonet style filters, so 3M filters will fit it! Thanks, Cody
@@parcilsafety thank you so much for the info. I'm ordering 1 today
Hello there. Nice video. I bought a PD-101 but I wish to make some changes on the visor (make it darker). Could you please make a video on how to completely disassemble this mask? Thanks!
We do have a video where we've deconstructed and reconstructed the PD-100 (note the PD-101 are the same steps, minus removing the grey threaded adapter): kzread.info/dash/bejne/i6lopdRvf8rVf6w.html The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no way to remove the exhaust valve from the face shield, as this is machine-pressed on. Thanks, Cody
@@parcilsafety Just perfect! I found the video here. Many thanks!
Can you use the KN-100 filters on the PD-100 mask?
Yes! The grey threaded filter adapter on the PD-100 can actually be removed to expose the bayonet style filter attachment. Once you've done this, you can attach the KN-100 filters. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Cody
Hello is PD101 efficient against tear gas?
Yes, the PD-101 is effective against tear gas, however, if you are in a more enclosed location where there isn't as much air flow (say indoors vs outdoors), you may want to upgrade the filters cartridges on the mask to the MaxPro P-3-0, which has 99% particulate filtration rating vs 95% from the stock P-A-3 filter cartridges. Link is parcilsafety.com/products/bayonet-abek1p3-filter-2-pack-compatible-with-pd-101-and-t-61. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks, Cody
@@parcilsafety thank you for answering, is also T-90 Half Face Respirator Mask with Organic Vapor and Particulate Filtration good for that purpose (with C-10 Goggles)?
Sorry - I think I missed this message last week. However, yes, the T-90 will work similarly to the PD-101. Only issue with half-face respirators (even with goggles) is that tear gas "fumes" could come up under the goggles, as they don't fully seal around your eyes. Thanks! Cody
Hello is it effective against tear gas?
I would recommend the PD-101 when it comes to tear gas. I would look at the ST-100X or NB-100.
Anywhere I can see this being tested?! Thanks !

Hi! Sorry for the delay here; with the unfortunate Gaza news, we've been pretty busy today. With everything you mentioned above, you will need a P3 or P100 rated particulate component and organic vapor component to the filters you use. I'd recommend our PD-101 Full Face Respirator and to upgrade the filter cartridges to our MaxPro P-3-0, which has an ABEKP3 rating. Wow that one looks realy cool but can you do one on gp5 soviet
I'm thinking of picking a mask up, but I'm not sure what to go with. I would love to be able to shoot with it, I belive the NB100 would be great, and I noticed on the third image on the listing is a photo of a fella in NODs. Are you able to use NV with this unit? The round shape would make me think it would be difficult. And would you recommend clear or the dark amber for more of a "tactical" scenario?
We've definitely have had people use NV with the NB-100s, however, we're not sure if it's as effective as using it with a face shield that is more flat. We are actually working on bringing out a new tactical gas mask that will feature a flatter face shield to help solve these problems. With that being said, I know we have a lot of firearm enthusiasts who prefer the Dark Amber lens, but also depends on the light setting you are wanting to use it in. If you are doing more daylight range sessions, for example, you may prefer the Smoke Black lens or the Clear lens. Hope this helps! Cody
By chance, any idea how the amber look when in use with say night vision?
Hi there! Sorry for the delayed reply here. This is a great question, but unfortunately we haven't tested it with night vision. I think we have some night vision gear at our office, and I am making a note to give it a try and provide a video on how it looks. Thanks! Cody

I handle pesticides and different chemicals for landscaping daily. Which would you recommend?

cna i wear volcanic ashes and nuclear chemical attack?
We have had customers use the PD-100 and PD-101 successfully during poor air quality from a volcanic eruption; however, for a chemical attack, I'd recommend our NB-100 tactical gas mask. A link to the product page is below: parcilsafety.com/products/nb-100-tactical-gas-mask-full-face-respirator-with-40mm-defense-filter
How about the NB series filters and masks?. Is there a big difference between them and something like the PD100 filters that twist on. Can you elaborate on the differences. Cheers
Great question! So our NB series of masks and filters is our higher line of products. Each one is bundled with our highest-rated filters for their respective attachment types. So for the NB-100, it comes bundled with the DefensePro N-B-1 (A2B2E2K2P3 RD rating) filter canister, and the NB-100B (the industrial-style NB series mask) comes with the MaxPro P-3-0 (ABEKP3 rating) filter cartridge set. The PD-100, on the other hand, comes with our P-A-1 filter cartridges (A2P2 rating only). Another difference is that the NB-100s come with a 6-point mesh head harness (better for hard hats and ballistic helmets), while the PD Series comes with a 5-point silicone head harness (easier to adjust the size). In short, the PD series of masks is great for low-level, commonplace irritants, while the NB series of masks is better suited for more aggressive chemical filtration. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Cody
@@parcilsafety thanks for the fast response Cody!. I just bought a pd100 mask and love the fit!. I was on a budget so that's why I didn't splurge on an NB series. So comparing the PA1to the NB1 filters, where is the middle ground of when you would take off the PA1 mask and put on an NB100. Say a broken down pyshcatric ward built in the 1800s with asbestos and dust. Which one would you prefer. How about a chemical war Outbreak. Could both be used or is the PA1 filter at that point obsolete. I'm not chemist or biology major so I have limited understanding of microscopic materials and chemical agents so I appreciate any tips and advice of how filtration works for the above scenarios
There are actually tiers between the P-A-1 and the N-B-1, but just comparing the two. P-A-1 is good for any home improvement or DIY-type situation (such as the 1800s building example). It can also be effective against low-level riot control agents like tear gas or pepper spray. However, once you start talking about chemical warfare or biological warfare agents, then you need to upgrade to the N-B-1. Another example is natural disasters, like wildfires. The P-A-1 is great for that, but if the fire has dangerous chemicals in it (like an industrial fire), then you need to go up to something like the N-B-1. a combination organic vapor and particulate filter, such as the P-A-1, will get you along way in every day respirator needs, but for extraordinary circumstances you'll want something better.
@@parcilsafety great that's what I thought. Will definitely invest in both then!. Thank you
Can you use the Kn-100 blue filters on a PD-100 mask??
Searched online and found it. But it doesn’t help with the lighting. If I’m using it inside is the clear the only viable option? The other look so cool but I assume they reduce visibility with low light?
Yeah, KZread Shorts don't provide the best user experience on links (you would have to click the three dots on the video and view the description for the link). With that being said, which of the tints are you wanting to use indoors? The light amber actually helps brighten up your workspace and increase contrast between objects. Smoke Black and the Mirrored tints are used to decrease bright light. However, I will say the Arctic Blue actually isn't as dark as the Smoke Black, Inferno Red, or Burnt Bronze, and all of our darker tints are actually about medium tint rating and can be used in neutral light settings. The last thing I want to leave you with is that we do offer a free 30-day return policy, so if you want to try one of the tints out and it doesn't work for you, you can return it for a 100% refund. Thanks, and let me know if you have any follow-up questions! Cody
