Classys Garage

Classys Garage

Hello and welcome, thanks for stopping by. I'm Just a dude in the garage or my driveway trying to film installs, mods and trail rides on an Iphone. This is something I do for fun, I have a full time career, a feisty Columbian/Irish wife and 3 crazy ass kids. This is how I de-stress, in the garage getting shit done. Even though woking on stuff sometimes just adds more stress. I like pain and the challenge. I try to make my videos as short as possible with little to no fluff. I want you to know the real amount of work/time it takes to get things done. That way you can decide if its worth it for you. I don't own a drone and I take terrible instagram photos. The large majority of my installs/mods are a huge pain the ass and I like to do things the hard way. If that sounds appealing and you enjoy my content, consider subscribing. I appreciate it. Thanks! Hope to see you back soon.

Stay Classy,
---Chris

    ADVICE to New Taco moders; When you find channel that seems to have the subject you want, look to the channels organization. Many mods are to big for one video. Do they follow up with the results "Testing / did the mod work". Can you find that video on there channel? Are there links to any third party's involved in the project. Many hackers are ADHD and bounce from subject to subject, leaving you without a conclusion to the mod. I find it strange because not providing the follow up to mods is just leaving content on the table. But again shinny new things are hard to ignore and have the discipline to finish your veggies before cake is hard. Sorry to CG you are one of my favorites and my values are my problem.

    What’s the ideal wheel offset/backspace for fitment on 37s? I’m Considering the move up from 35s lol. I’m currently -38 / 3.5BS.

  • @ClassyTacos
    @ClassyTacos6 күн бұрын

    The -38 is a killer on the back inner fender. My idea of ideal my be a little different than most. For me ideal is the wheels and tires I want to run and make everything else fit. Im currently on -24 offset with a 1.25 spacer. If you're going to 37s be prepared for a ton of work to the inner fenders, rear fender/fire wall area and at the very least a cab mount relocation. It's no easy task getting 37s in there properly. Thanks for watching.

    How did you get those shocks to work on this chassis? I bought the same ones you listed in the description and they don’t line up perfectly like the stock ones. Did you have to use spacers or anything like that?

  • @ClassyTacos
    @ClassyTacos11 күн бұрын

    Yes, when you upgrade the internal bushings to bearings, you can use the bushings as perfectly sized spacers. If you have not upgraded your bushings yet or don't plan to, you can look for small, thick washers at a parts store like Ace or True Value. Or you can look around for a set of bushings to use as spacers. This is all a puzzle, you will be making things work, finding parts. It's all a process. Thanks for watching.

    Guess im gonna try it , but my 2000 obs chevy 3500 dont blow the fuse till it gets warm , PRND fuse , sticks in second ... then tach and speedo quit , it goes through the instrument cluster and the ignition module ,changed both of them , still blows . Changed multi function switch also , same plug , sort of ..changed transmision , complete , all of it , out of a known good truck , same problem .. im about ready to not have it go through that key and dash no more , it aint got intruments no more i tore them out testing it discovered it still blows that fuse and still drives fine except that fuse , that didnt change nothing except no more check engine light , the rest of the gauges aint needed , dont care how fast im going in a 24 year old truck ..its been stuck in second for a year and half , but im not in a hurry ..😂 Still use it every day so dont run me over , its a bucket truck so you will know if you do ..lol Its killing me though to not be able to figure it out , ac high interior blower motor don't work on high either unrelated , im positive of it , i found that bad fan connection and cut it , no high for now , its been that way for 7 years ..the fuse is the latest problem ..blend doors are off there hinge on one side also , so the ac is half there , been that way too ..i tried 3 shops in town and only got excuses and a diagnosis bill and they didnt have a clue ..so take it to a shop ain't working either.. i did have to pay 180 dollars to have a fuse changed , but i already knew it was blowing and which fuse , i need to know why . And it blew again one block later , i was to bummed to even take it back , they couldnt fix a tire at that shop , tranny shop said its electrical , he just does transmissions , that was 120 .....help ..

    Btw, it was not necessary to loosen the rear bolts in order to get the front seat jackers on. All you have to do is push backward on the seat back just a little, and it will give you all of the space that you need to put the seat jackers in. Of course, if you're going to put spacers on the rear, then you have to unscrew the rear seat bolts. Otherwise, you can leave them alone if you are just doing the regular seat jackers on the front.
