The aim of this channel is to encourage amateur photographers that are not hillwalkers, mountaineers or wild camping enthusiasts, to get out and take pictures from more accessible locations. We are not all capable of climbing hills or trekking for miles. We are not all even able to walk a few hundred meters. This channel is now dedicated to getting good images from accessible locations. Come with me as I explore my country and others and seek out good locations that just about anybody could access.
This is not an "Accessibility for the Disabled" Channel. Accessible means "ease of access". This channel was set up in response to the many channels with Photographers hiking for miles over rough ground or climbing mountains to get an epic shot. I simply want Photographers with less fitness or mild mobility issues to see that they can get out and take interesting pictures and enjoy their hobby.

Good to see you and Duke back out, and feeling well enough for this walk 😁 quite inspiring message as usual to just go out when you can and take the photos. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Glad you're out and about, and thank you for the reminder to just get out there, even if it's just a walk. I get quite blue in the summer, and getting out does quite help. Thank you.
Glad to be of help, 🙂 Unless you have allergies, getting out in the summer can be very rewarding. Best thing living where I do is it doesn't get too hot very often.
Thanks for showing these photographs of area of the country I know very well. I grew up in Kelty just a few niles south of that location. Take care.
I came across your channel and after reading your channel description, I appreciate your approach to photography. Thank you! Lovely photos.
Thank you for the nice comment. :-)
Quite beautiful. Thank you.
Great to see you feeling up to out and about Alastair. I sufferer of long Covid I know how difficult it can be to get with the camera. I know good I feel when I can get out even if I cannot walk very far or be out for too long. Just being out with my camera feels like a victory for me. All the best Neil.
Thanks Neil, you have my Sympathies and I hope your LC gets better soon. Yep getting out does make you feel better.
Thank you Alastair. I have had LC for getting on for three years now which came on top of a DVT and PE which I was just getting over. Getting out with my camera when I can has kept me going.
Looks like sheepdogs are redundant in Cleish. All the Best Alastair and as you say " keep getting out there ".
Oh yeah. Quad bikes rule now.
Nice to see you getting out again when you can. Can't remember the last time I was able to get out with the camera, but really enjoyed your video and pictures :)
That’s sad to hear. I will keep you in mind when doing more vlogs. I know not everyone can get out even when I say “Get out take pictures and have fun” which is why I said in this one “if you are up to getting out” or words to that effect. A few of my subscribers are in the same situation as you and I feel for you all. God bless.
Nice one. My grandfather's funeral was held at Cleish Parish Church. I've always meant to go back and get a picture for my mum. Cleish is just over the border in Perth and Kinross. And you are out vlogging more often than l am so don't beat yourself up about it.
Ha ha. True, but you are out scouting walks a lot more than I am walking them. Lol. 😂
Good advice and I hope you get well soon.
Thank you. I’m trying hard to get over it.
Thank you Alastair, hope you are feeling better.🤝
I am! For now. As you know, it comes in waves.
The Z fc has the same pixel density as the D500 & D850. It comes down to the glass you are using. The FTZ adaptor allows you to use all the F Mount glass. If you want fast Z lenses Viltrox and Laowa make some excellent lenses at reasonable prices.
Got the adaptor now. The big old glass can go on if I want it. It’s the weight issue for me still but I am slowly getting better and can handle the weight for a short while. Laowa is on my list for new lenses. Really good and not expensive.
Duke is looking like a proper filmmaker sitting next to the GoPro haha it was great meeting you Alastair!
You to Chris.
really love your channel idea! great video
Thank you so much.
Nice work Alister
Thanks PAUL
This boils my piss, why the fuck are they walking all through the bluebells… clearly haven’t got a clue how much damage it causes to the bluebells.. absolutely unbelievable..
Agreed, I have seen areas disappear due to people walking through them.
Very nice mate. Not sure why people were walking on the bluebells mind. Takes them four years to recover.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching.
that woodland looked really nice have you tried Kinclaven bluebell woods. I have been there the last couple of years around 17th-24th May and the display both times was magical.
I must admit, no I haven’t tried that wood. I will look up where it is and see what I can do. Many thanks for the tip.
Beautiful work Alastair 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely glad for all of you that were able to experience it buddy 🥹 spectacular shots of a spectacular moment.
Thanks Keith. It was a very special night.
What a fantastic display! Amazing stuff👍👍
Yes it was! So glad I didn't go to bed early. ;-)
I really liked the first image. It looked like it was quite a walk to get there. I still need to capture some bluebells this year.
Thanks Paul. Yeah it was a trek. Not for most people but definitely for me.
Looks like a beautiful woodland
I know. :-(
Great video Alastair - one of your best and truly accessible.
I appreciate that David. Thank you.
That was a night to remember. I was only able to get some images from my iPhone. You got some cracking images.
It was a great night. I also took pics with the phone, but I was so glad to drag out the D850 to ensure I got some keepers.
Wonderful photos, congratulations on capturing such beauty!
Thank you. I’d have been gutted to miss that night.
Insanley good mate, lovely shots throughout, I shot from rural New Zealand on the North Island never ever seen it before, mind blown got some nice shots, then again half the planet got amazing shots. Hoping it kicks off again tonight, I'll load a video in a few days when I get through it all. These are mad times.....
Thanks Paul. I look forward to seeing your shots. Rural North island is really pretty. I enjoyed driving there. The volcanic stuff was the main attraction I have to admit.
@@AccessiblePhotography cheers mate vids up now and the previous one is of the volcanos haha love this place. Off Aurora hunting again now thanks mate
You captured some great shots. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. It’s probably obvious it wasn’t a planned video at all. :-)
You’ve got some great images there. I am sat here in Cheshire but looks highly unlikely that we will get to see anything tonight (Sat 11th)
You never know its always worth looking. Kicking off just now, but way too light up here.
❤❤
What a fabulous display of colour, I can see why it is so popular, thanks 👍👍
What a beautiful place, that blossom is stunning. Just a quick observation.. when you were setting up your tripos for the 1st shit in the water the b-roll camera was behind you andf then it flipped to a side view as you were putting the leg dowmn.. I checked to see if there was a camera to your left on the 1st shot but nope...the filming was seamless, well done. Very enjoyable watch, you present very well. Nice images and a bonus at the end with those cracking Heron pics. atb Alan
Thanks Alan. I do try to put in little cuts like that. Not really been able to vlog properly for a while so it’s good to be back. It shows me as well that my health is improving if I am thinking about smooth cuts like that and having them work out. Thanks for watching and I am glad you liked it.
Hi mate, clicked on the link from Thumbs Up Photography , never knew there were cherry blossom trees in Scotland, looks lovely and i like the images you captured, well narrated. Most people dont realise the work that goes into producing these videos , its not as easy as you first think !
Thanks for watching. Yeah we have them. Edinburgh has lots of them. It’s quite a sight around this time of year. Check out Real Edinburgh Photography on instagram. Grant has quite a few images of the cherry trees in Edinburgh up just now.
Yeah video making while doing photography Isn’t easy. Made harder by equipment failures. To be fair I think I just talk too much and the kit gives in. lol
A lovely place, and nice to hear your thoughts on the compositions 👍
That’s the ones I could publish. lol
Yeah he’s not up to doing much with me now.
Thanks for sharing. Glad Juke made a cameo at the end.
Thanks. He had to have a wee cameo. I don’t know how many more he will be in.
there is something about the zfc pictures .. there’s a pleasant softness … and i don’t mean they’re out of focus
Maybe it’s to be look closer to film than digital. I must say, the images shown in KZread don’t look as good as they do directly.
Fujifilm XT30ii is much better and cheaper! Nikon has no ASP-C prime lenses. Less value for your money. 😢
Tried Fuji. Wasn’t happy with what I got out of it. I get your point though.
Your printer need to be calibrated.. the colours the shadows are all off .. not little off .. like OFF..
You are right. I was running off a generic print programme. Didn’t realise it. Will switch to the newer Mac and get the proper print programme. I can also get it calibrated to the paper.
Thanks for the video!
Beautiful location! You got some great shots.
It is a lovely area and country. :-)
Promo SM
?
Amazing, Keep it up.
Thank you. 🙏
I agree I have mobility issues and find that the workshops for most involve a lot of hiking so that rules quite a few folk out!
It really would be nice for someone to run Accessible workshops. I wish I could but with ME I never know how I will be from one day to the next.
Nice!
what tripod is that? brand? model?
Hi. That’s a “Three Legged Thing” tripod. Model is “Brian”. (Evolution3). It’s a travel tripod to be fair. Fully extended including the centre column and it goes way above my head. I bought it second hand a few years ago. I am not sure if that one is still made but the company does have others available.
All your images are stunning really like the 2nd one. I am an amateur photographer. Haven’t been out for years. You made this a must visit place for me and my Camera. Many thanks. 📸
Thanks, I am glad it's inspired you. It is a great place, and I bigoted again last autumn just after heavy rains. Really impressive flow of water down the falls.
Loved watching this and some amazing photos
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice video Alastair - I did like the shot at 9:16 and the others were great too. I tried woodland photography at the weekend and got a soaking and the photos were terrible but it was still fun to be out as I try and get my motivation back.
Thanks Andrew. I wasn't sure about that shot. I'd love to do it in fog and see how it looks. It is good to get out and yeah we don't always get any decent shots. I have quite a few failed trips from the woodlands. Getting soaked isn't the best, but as long as it didn't put you off trying again then its a win.
Such a lovely video.
Thank you.
