i have a coworker (male) that wears this fragrance and my gosh it smells delicious but when he told me the price point i have been contemplating for a month now whether or not i should get it. but man i love the smell of it tho 😭

What would you give this scent 1-10?
I wear the 19 EDT and love it. It's an everyday scent for me. It's not overpowering and makes me feel so fresh and ready to start my day. I also agree that it's a unisex scent. Men can wear this. In fact I tried to get my husband to try it but he's stuck on his favorite and couldn't get over wearing a scent made for women.
The more time I spend with Oud Ispahan, the more I love it. The complexity of the fragrance is phenomenal with woody, rose, and floral notes coupled with a compelling oud. The oud is not harsh. I admit that there is a dirty sexiness to Oud Ispahan. Given Dior's terrible tendency to discontinue wonderful fragrances (e.g., Leather Oud, Santal Noir, Balade Sauvage) this one might well be full bottle back-up worthy. Are there any other fragrances that do what Oud Ispahan does (oud/rose opulence), but do it even better? Your videos are the best!
I think when it comes to rose and oud scents. There are many to pick and choose from. The depth and character of Oud ispahan cannot be recreated in my opinion it’s one of the better versions of this combination . Santal Noir is not discontinued it’s just a scent available a special retailers and select stores. You can find it a bergdorf goodman and order it over the phone. The problem with the Atelier Versace fragrances, is that they're just a cashgrab and really not worth it. According to fragrance snobs if you dig a little about it on the internet. Meaning, there are many fragrances on the market that smell nearly identical or better, lasts longer and are cheaper. Doesn't mean it's bad, just that there are better alternatives.
Yeah I can see that but we can say the same about most of the designers private labels. Exempting Chanel and some of Dior

Not sure how I should say this, but I feel like Chanel store clerks actually would be this cringe. It's supposed to be pretentious or snobby, but it is just cringe. I know luxury stores often have "Treat customers bad" as a sales tactic. Because, for some reason. People actually do spend cash in an attempt to give them a sick burn.

Thank you for watching! I love both of them, but I will say that pacific chill is limited to a spring summer scent. I also think it won’t age as well as city of stars. City of stars reminds me a little of cactus garden. Maybe that’s why I have a soft spot for it.

I have this fragrance on order so I appreciate your wonderful review! It gives me things to look for. After the top notes dissipate to some extent, how is the balance on dry down between the leather and the rose? Is the leather very dominant or does it share its strength with other middle and base notes? As always, your videos are the best!
Thank you! It has leather, but I wouldn’t say it’s the type of leather that most brands do. It’s there but it’s mixed well with the floral elements. Like all of the fragrances that Coco Chanel had a say in. It’s hard to dissect the smell. That was her goal after all. I think you’ll appreciate this scent.
With 5 or 6 sprays u don’t really need coconut oil though

I have a newer formulation and I gifted my mom one from 2015 when I worked for the brand. The fragrance seemed to have lost performance. Not much though, as the 2015 formulation wasn’t much much better

Sounds like a fragrance at the highest end of quality! Can you comment on how it would be applied? I've never really learned about Extrait de Parfums. Is this by spray or drop, and how much and where would you recommend it be applied? And finally, where would this one fall: masculine or feminine or unisex? Your videos are the best!
Yes of course. These come in spray on bottles. So you would apply them as usual. You would just not be as heavy handed. They are very potent and long lasting. I usually recommend the pulse points to have the fragrance warm up with your skin. The scent is very much unisex. It starts off masculine and then changes into a fairly unisex fragrance. Thank you! Not sure what fragrance brands are smoking nowdays but the trend in perfume prices (and in this case for a cologne concentration and this scent profile) is definitely "jumping the shark", even if it is high quality.
I couldn’t have said it better myself. To be fair to Acqua Di Parma, you can find most of their lineup at discounters for Pennie’s compared to the retail cost. There are other brands that are out of hand. Like Fendi launching their fragrances for the 4th time, at the starting price of $330.
Thanks for being our guinea pig. Please try test layering with Molecule 01 (iso e super) and Molecule 02 (ambroxin). I personally haven't been able to notice a difference in terms of longevity or projection improvements and both of them do alter the fragrance profile since they have their own scent.

I’m really hoping one of the new ones is a dupe of the original 1990’s Fendi, I miss it so much, was my signature and nothing since comes close since it was discontinued in 2006. Fingers crossed for woody amber!
I wish they wouldn’t relaunch their classics. I think they are going for more of the “Celine” and “Louis Vuitton” route. Highly likable scents, unique but mass appealing.

Thank you Christopher! Using some type of oil, lotion, or Vaseline, might prevent the skin, especially if it is dry, from simply absorbing the fragrance. That would potentially reduce both sillage and longevity. To that end, I currently use Neutrogena unscented bath oil to keep my skin a little less dry. Can't tell for certain if that helps the fragrance. Maybe using such a product allows more of the scent to stay on top of the oil or lotion, that would increase sillage, and if notes are released over time, then longevity would increase if there is simply more fragrance available? Your videos are the best!

Ex Nihilo is a fantastic fragrance house. Do not sleep on this house. Blue Talisman is a recent launch and it's beautiful. It's like a sparkling ginger fragrance. There's too many Ex Nihilo fragrances to list but check them out and get your nose on them. You'll be blown away.

Dries Van Noten (pronounced like drees not dries) is one of my favorite fragrance houses of all time. I cannot get enough of them. I have six DVN fragrances now and I want them all.

A better version of this is Maison Crivelli Oud Maracuja. It's got the beautiful leather and oud but with the passionfruit as well. Stunning.

I think if your are going to the beach, it would work better than even lost cherry. It has a lighter edge to it. You are going to smell AMAZING! 🤩

Hey I remember commenting a while back whether this is similar to Chanel Eau de Cologne. How would you say it compares to it?
Yes 🙌. I remember the comment and that’s why I bought this scent. They have the similar clean citrusy style. I will say Biarritz is not as rough around the edges as Eau De Cologne . Eau de Cologne has the green elements and spices to give it that pop. In my opinion I prefer eau de cologne. But both are beautiful. Longevity would go to Biarritz though.
I agree about Eden roc horrible mineral note. It's the same mineral note used in ganymede I can't stand either of them. Speaking of samples have you tried clive christian blonde amber? Amazing
It’s probably the only fragrance that I avoid like the plague 😂. It’s been so long since I’ve played with Clive Christian. I will definitely check it out the notes seem to be very nice.
Have you considered a review of Dune Pour Homme? I wonder if it would in some sense compliment the notes within Dune?
I hadn’t thought of it. But if you’d like to see that, I’d be happy to do so. It’s been forever since I’ve smelled this scent. Dior pulled it from most of the stores when I was starting with them.

Probably your efforts would be better spent on more current fragrances, but that having been said, if there is a lull in the new stuff, a review of Dune Pour Homme might be interesting, contrasting it to Dune?
I actually just received this a couple of days ago. I like it but not as much as Paris-Deauville.

@vscents5674 it's very weak to me compared to Paris-Deauville. Deauville lasts much longer on my skin. I also got the shower get for Paris-Deauville and that was a mistake 😆
@@mrnorthpresents I had 3-4 hours of wear time with it at home. The moment I decided to wear it out, I get 2-3 hours. I seem to have the problem with Chanel fragrances. I will definitely try Deauville.
