I started this channel as a way of sharing what I see through the lens of my camera. Soon after the idea, I realized that I should limit my channel to cooking, boating, fishing, small DIY projects and some random excursion videos. I am not an expert in cooking but receipes I share in my cooking videos, are blessings from my mother, grand mother, and few friends. Boating and fishing is my passion, fixing cars and cooking is my hobby. Once my hobby was my means of earing income. I used to own a car garage in Bronx NY, now I only work on my cars/boats or ones owned by friends or family.
I welcome suggestions, comments and any ideas you can share. Thank you !!

Hi, would you happen to remember what the torque setting is? Thanks.
I believe 98 ft lbs
I have this exact motor and finished the valve replacement yesterday using the same kit you used off of Amazon. I am getting water from the vent hole from the moment the engine starts. Before I order the OEM kit, is there something I should check to fix this problem?
Get the OEM, the kit from Amazon is cheap, gasket is bit thick, plus diaphragm doesn't site well. I redid many times, till I ordered the OEM
What Mercury outboard do you have?
2002 150 XL Saltwater series 2 stroke
@FKCamVlogs Nice. I have two 2001 Mercury Optimax 150s. They're overheating and I am looking for solutions. I've already changed out the impellers and thermostats.
Did you used OEM thermostats? Did the wings of impellers are in same directions as the old ones? If yes to both then next thing on list is poppet valve, make sure to buy OEM as well
@FKCamVlogs I found what the problem was. I had sent one of my ECUs to get repaired and didn't flush out the outboards. I left them for a week and a half. The salt crystallized and wasn't allowing the thermostats to open up completely which caused my port side outboard to overheat. I took out the thermostat housings and had to scrape off all the crystallized salt on both outboards. I also used a file and sandpaper to clean them all up. I took out my boat earlier today in the San Diego Bay and both outboards are good. And oh, I used the Quicksilver thermostats so yes, they are the OEM ones. Thanks for following up on my question. It is greatly appreciated. Now I will be going offshore fishing to hunt for yellowfin tunas, bluefin tunas, dorados and yellowtails down in Mexican waters.
Glad to hear! Enjoy fishing.
Big difference and shine

Awesome video! Thank you ! 🙏🏽
How long is this job
Question - I recently bought a 1999 GTX Limited and it has the same thumb throttle. The Allen set screws are missing. Does the entire thumb throttle housing need to be removed to insert a new one?
I did it a while ago but it is easier if you open it all. Those allen screws are a nuisance, lube them with anti rust and install
Going to try both methods on my 6hp this afternoon.
Good luck and post how it went!
Thanks my friend!
Noticed you have a hole in the air intake tube that sits right in front of the turbo. Had that issue too. Got the part replaced for $80CAD and put heat reflecting tape over it. Seems to be holding on well so far.
I need to see to it, what issue it causes?
I'm going to follow your follow your lead. I thought it was going to be a lot heavier. I'm not sure I will wear sandals.
Haha dont wear sandals
If you cant afford the newer version, dont put it in your thumbnail. Basically clickbait. "Freezing" your wipers halfway your front window is different on the newest CLA
I am sorry for your lack of knowledge. The model you see in thumbnail is NOT a newer version, and regardless of the model, if you dont know how to, "freeze" then you dont. Dont blame your shortcomings on newer version or year. Also probably my garage has more cars what you can afford even if you work rest of your life. Take your car to dealer, you are the reason they are in business, if you cant afford service, dont buy cars that dont fit your budget. Note: You don't need to freeze to swap wipers.
@@FKCamVlogs As a 21 year old owning a CLA 45 AMG, worth more than your entire life im doing good. Get yo 40 year old ass outta here if you cant see yo broke ass 5inch screen in the middle of your console. The car is clearly an older model of the cla. Prob 2013 version, where my rims cost more than the entire car
What is upsetting you? Your car will never stay new,. I dont need to disclose to any John Doe what I have, if your car is CLA AMG then go look for that class youtube videos and learn how to talk. Owning a Mercedes doesn't mean anything, just know its a car, thats all. What matters is how you ask for help or guidance.
@@FKCamVlogs Nothing is upsetting me man, just saying the thumbnail is a bit misleading since a part of it isnt the same on newer models. You came talking down to me about me not having any knowledge about cars, so it got outta hand from both sides. I was just saying, the thumbnail is showing the newer model, and you have the older one. They dont work the same way cause mercedes always finds a -more pain in the ass way to do simple tasks
Why didn’t you put that little blue piece at the bottom with oring back in ? Did that base plate replace the old piece?
Yes the white plate replaced the blue plate.
Hey man, great video. Don't apologize at the first that many people may know and not need this info. There ARE always people that need help with new things. Take care buddy and I wish you happy and safe boating!
Thank you !
I got 1999 infinity qx4 4x4, do u think it will fit that coil spring to my infinity??
Check with dealer for exact part number for your vehicle.
Wow vary nice brather
Can I call you as an expert witness regarding a tyre dispute as you claim to be very knowledgable about car tyres.
This is my personal review and I have every right to express regardless of what any John Doe says
This is not a valid review as you have not considered the safety aspect of run flat tyres. The people recommending changing their run flat tyres to standard tyres believe they know better than the manufacturer. With standard tyres, if you have a blow out you are likely to lose control of your car. With run flat tyres you are less likely to lose control. Also you will have to inform your insurance company if you move away from run flats.
Again this is my personal review and I have every right to express, and it needs no validation from any so called expert or tire manufacturer. I went through issues and problems by having run flat tires. Do you know the percentage of people using regular tires verses run flats, and why, please review those numbers before leaving your expert comment
That’s where I purchased my S550. Catonsville Mercedes.
No, where you see? I am curious
My optimax is pissing cold water but I get a long beep with rough power at Low speeds, do you suggest it's the poppet valve or thermostat?
Thermostats have to get to a certain temp to open up. I think its 140 for Mercury. Check them first, they are easy to swap than puppet.
What a project.
So we have put ours back together and water keeps spitting out of the air hole. We have taken it apart and put it back together several times with no luck. Do you have any advice?
Are you using OEM parts kit or after market?
Do you see that mini lightin the beginning
wow so nice
Beautiful 201 bud I have a 95 201 and I love it
Awesome, Beautiful boat and marina.
Hi, I have a 2006 Pathfinder and the airbags won't deploy according to the dealership (i had to take it in to check an emblem recall on the steering wheel.) will this fix that issue?
I am sorry I am not aware of this issue
Great video! Thank you.
Glad you liked it!
Nissan head light its look like a brand new its really a brilliant idea
Love the video
Thank you for uploading helpful video
So nice of you
I just replace a motor today on this exact engine. The trilobite pin head sheared off and I had to drill it out!
Use the shortest hose where possible
🤗 *promosm*
My radiator fluid is leaking out inside the engine compartment. Would that mean it's a coupler or hose instead of the core? I gotta go look at it. It's an hour away, my son had it go on him.
Do a pressure test on the radiator, you will see the leak, most likely its a hose or in worse case scenario, water pump or radiator itself. Hope this helps. A mechanic can do the test, if your local part store don't lend that tool
Did you pull the driver's seat also? Does the radiator need burping, or just a simple refill?
Thank you !!! I went to two different places and they couldn't get them off. I told they guy I'll go home and KZread it. Like you said " it's not hard, you just got to know what to do"
Exactly and glad you tried it yourself.
Why would you buy a CLA without premium audio 😢
Do you know where to find the panel on the tail gate
There are two boxes, one under the hood and one by glove compartment, hope this helps
Excelente Video..
I was told to use the blue and white bottle marine seafoam for my four stroke, 40 horse mercury 2000 model
Shouldn’t you be using seafoam, marine, blue and white bottle?
I was testing this product
Do you add 2cycle on the testing with gas?
Yes I did add oil. My Oil injection pump doesn't work.
Hi, I removed my lower unit following your video, mine is the 200HP, when I removed it 4 washers fell out and im not sure where they go, sorry 5 fell out, one is the size of a 50 cent piece and the other 4 are smaller, would you happen to know where they go or how I can find out? Thanks so much!!
Were those metal washers? I am not sure about washers, because the unit pulled has shaft, pump and water connect tube that has rubber seal I believe. The 4 or 5 washers that I know of, are secured by nuts on plastic water pump assembly.
