Welcome to my channel! My name is Sarah and in 2021, my daughter and I started a handmade business... accidentally. Over our summer break, we went to a craft store looking for something to occupy our time. While there, we found some soap making supplies and decided to give it a whirl.
On this channel we talk about melt and pour soap making, cold process soap making, soap tutorials, handmade business tips + tricks, vendor markets, studio vlogs and so much more. We hope you find value here and are happy to have you as a part of our community!

Which scrub is the best looking?! You'll have to help me decide! ❤
Mine is hyacinth at enriching your moments on Etsy
Your son is adorable. For $200 the labels should have been everything you expected and more 😮
Thank you! He just lost his first two teeth 🥹😁. I feel bad saying I'm disappointed, because I do love Online Labels but that was a bummer 🥲.
I was wondering why you skipped yesterday lol
Unintentionally, you should have seen me trying. It was awful 😢
Sorry for the late upload, my computer was giving me such a hard time yesterday!! Happy to have it today ❤❤!
can you show more of you making the lotion?
I can't believe you don't have more subs! You're perfect! 💙 smart, beautiful, you articulate well...i don't get it. Thank you for all the great info always .
Thank you so much for those kind words ❤️❤️
Love this video, safer for me and my fur babies. ❤
Thanks for stopping by!❤️
Keep at it! Soaping can be hard sometimes. There are good days and “bad” days! ❤️❤️
Absolutely! Thanks for dropping by!
For someone who is allergic to essential oils, do you think simbi fragrance would be a better natural alternative for my cold processed soaps?
Coconut pulp soap😃🙂
😊 awesome. Jesus bless
The cold processed soap notes on SIMBI is a lifesaver! I wish ALL fragrance oil companies had a chart such as that one. It is frustrating that some of the top fragrance oil companies *don't* offer much information on cold processed soap notes. One would assume if they are selling it for soap, it has been tested for soap so there shouldn't be a problem adding notes.
I definitely agree.. I have noticed more and more suppliers adding soaping notes, so I hope that trend keeps up! I know I am working on soaping notes for one supplier in particular 😃😇!
I have been having bad luck with fragrance oils in cold processed soap....very weak fragrance retention after the cure.
Hi, new to soap world. I’ve made only two loaf so far and even if I don’t plan to sell any, knowing what’s popular is interresting for me since I want to make some gifts 🤫 Thank you for your video. English is not my first langage and I missed some of the fragrances you named and I didn’t find them in the description.

Hello, yes I added fragrance oil and mica powder for colorants!
Great thank you!! 😊
Are these chia seeds?
No, poppy seeds 😊😉
Hi! Could you make a video on how to price soaps, like the formula to use, etc?
Thank u for this video- I’m having trouble coming up with ideas and putting themes together- I struggle with it big time! I can’t get my bath bomb recipe to stick. I feel like writing it down or small steps don’t help much but I know they do and need to start doing them! Any tips are appreciated ❤
You can't get your bath bombs to stick together? Can you tell me more about your recipe?
@@EleveHandmade hi, thanks for responding, I’m using a simple recipe with baking soda and citric acid and then I use some Epsom salt and a tsp of water or less bc of the humidity and then it causes bumps.
Thank you for all the content you share here on KZread. My question is what size of wooden wick do you use for those tins? They look soo cute for wedding favors.
Makesy crackling wooden wick .02, .5"!
@@EleveHandmade Thank you. You are true inspiration to many. Your gentle spirit how you work is beautiful to watch.
Do you test the ph?
I made a summer soap with Island Fresh fragrance oil, i also have coconut oil, sea salt and orchard, and Hawaiian suntan lotion oil
That sounds like an excellent line up! 😍
What are your summer product fragrance oils? Let's list them out below ❤❤!
I want to try your new lotions.. which one is the best one?

Thx for your knowledge of soap making
Thank you for stopping by 😍
While I understand melt and pour is basically buying soap to make soap, your daughter's safety is important so M&P is a great option for you both. It's fabulous that you two make soap together, partly because it's a great mother-daughter activity, but also because you are teaching her about being an entrepreneur and being her own boss! I'm sure it's also helping teach her some independence and confidence as well. Love all of that! And as for buying soap to make soap, there's still a lot of customizing that can make them unique, be a great product, and make lots of customers happy. Best wishes and much success to you both.
Yessss, I love it! So classy....
Thank you so much! 😍
Love it! Nice. Where did you get the beautiful custom made ribbon? Yes. Please do a video how to pitch customers. Thank you.
Hello! Thanks for stopping by, it's an Etsy shop called BigEventsDecor ❤️.
@@EleveHandmade Thank you.
Thank you for supporting my channel by liking this video and leaving a comment ❤❤!
Very nice, what wick series and size did you use?
❤❤🎉🎉
Thanks for stopping by!
😊😊❤❤
Congratulations 😊😊😊❤ God bless you all the time
Oh my God, it looks like yummy smoothie 😅😅😅
Can you also make a video or 2 about melt and pour soap making. I literally just got done binge watching ur videos; thank you so much for going into details. I also have 2 questions. 1st. Are you able to use your own essential oils thats homemade (from scratch) instead of buying some? 2nd. Hearing about the rose, cucumber n lavender water can any fruit, herb, or vegetable also work? Like guava water, lemon water. Thx again for making these videos
Maybe melting the chunks first then adding to the lye mixture as you pour
That could totally work too, thanks for the suggestion ❤️.
I’m confused why would one use lye if it’s so toxic on the skin. I’m sure the toxicity doesn’t change.
Hey, great thought! When the oil and lye combine, it goes through a process called saponification and the lye evaporates, making it skin safe!
When you mix it with the right amount of water and oil, then they turn to glycerin, but if someone added over the right amount of lye needed it will remain in the mixture
Where is this recipe with no lye ?????
Thanks for this video! What would be the average lifetime of the soap? and the soap base does not have lye?
Hey! A good shelf life for melt and pour soap is 6 month. It does have lye in it, the difference is you don't melt the lye, it's already done for you!
I have to do a baby shower ( boy) and I need some suggestions please if you don’t mind?! Where did you get your tins?
These are from Papermart :)
Next time maybe try, Mr. Clean magic foam eraser, that might help it come off a little easier
Thank you!! I'll try that tonight!
Coming up on the channel- how to prepare a collection for launch! ❤
Will you have summer products on your website?
Just stopped by your videos talking about why you prefer hot process and found this one. It turned out really nice! I loved it. Only advice is trying to add your lye solution to your oils and not the opposite, because the way you chose to do in this video increases the risk of lye splash or weird lye chemical reactions.
Great tip, thanks! I appreciate you stopping by ❤️.
natural things are always the best option, i swear, i liked it so much, thanks for the video 😁
💯!
Would love a social media strategy video
Excellent! Any questions or anything in particular you are hoping to see?
Would love a social media type contact
I'll add it to the list! Any questions or anything in particular you are hoping to see?
