Ive listened to all these songs and none of them are mid??? like the nugu ones seem lower quality bc theyre nugu duh and giddy is well, kep1er, if this released with another group with a similar concept to giddy then honestly it would be 100 times better but giddy on its own, its still good like its not crazy but mid is not the term for it, more like, it doesnt fit with kep1er, the way the lyrics flowed throughout the song doesnt match the usual style of kep1er especially the rap where Hikaru didnt really execute the rap well and the chorus seemed bland with the production like it was very minimal (which they had no or little control over, they only wrote the song) but I honestly think its still good, Idk abt other ppl but the switch up is so good, wish it was longer like a dancebreak or something (which again another thing missing from giddy, a dancebreak bc kep1er is well known for being really good dancers)
@blurrie96883 сағат бұрын
Also something to add is that I think Lyre themselvesmentioned that they wrote giddy and many other songs for kep1er before they were even kep1er, they wrote for them during girls planet before they knew the concept or style of the song so its also heavily the company's fault for choosing giddy bc Lyre usually just makes a ton of songs to make sure a song gets accepted. Only one thing that im not entirely sure if Lyre wrote giddy specifically during Girls planet or during Wadada in their debut but still Wadada is a mess of a concept so I understand if they still couldnt tell the concept.

if you listen to the last single blackswan had put out before karma, it's SO clear to what extent lyre saved the group musically. close to me was so messy, production composition and literally every aspect of the era. i was so worried that they were done for after the lineup changes, but i think giving them a solid track like karma, while not a chart-topper or anything, really helped them and their stability as a group, and for that i'm super thankful to everyone involved in producing the track

If you do this exercise with almost every producer and group of them, you would find that sometimes there's bangers or bops, but also some album tracks that are just fine, and that's ok, it's the way music works. Not every group is XG pulling up 12 songs in 2 years and being ok with that few releases. You need more songs, and producers provide the artists with this, but a group that produced "Sweet (F'N) Juice", "Mafia in the morning", "Iced Coffee" AND "Talk To Me" for my Luvies, the best TT of that inconsistency of a group that is Kep1er, "I", and produced for so much of our favorite GGs and soloists is an amazing body of work. Congrats to LYRE, and to the people who appreciate music (which in Kpop usually is better in the GG-and-women-soloists side)

only going to comment songs i know (or atleast i recall hearing) - mafia in the morning is a banger - sweet juice is so good was on repeat for quite some time when it was released - giddy was really catchy, at first i was like fine but then i just kept replaying the song everytime i see it lol - i really enjoy blackswan but while karma is a song i don't mind listening, i'm also not strongly attached to it that i could see myself skipping from time to time - aphrodite is a lovely song - honey honey is such a fun and cute bop song special mention (cause some songs from my fave groups apparently went unnoticed and so i have a mission to listen/relisten to them) - ok not exactly sure if i've listened to talk to me before but just from the preview alone it sounded like a bop (after listening to it: yeah a bop for sure) - i think i've heard of bada boom before but i tried listening again to make sure and it slaps - paradise i don't think i've heard before so i went to listen and it sounds nice :) - have not heard before superpowers before and while it did not give a strong first impression, as i'm listening, i could see myself jamming to it (it's quite a fun song) - never heard of iced coffee but after listening, it's cute :)

Honestly some of their rejected ones are better and/or absolute bangers - most notably their song "Speakers" that they pitched for ITZY. It would 100% be the vibe anthem for a lot of kpop stans had it been picked up.

Ahhh Lyre... They're genuinely good but why do so many time their bad stuff get picked up over the amazing ones? 😂 People think they're trash but its not up to them what companies pick up. Every producer has trashy songs and it seems like they pitch as many songs as possible, instead of just reserving the best of the best. That's not a bad thing, imo, and I wonder if some of the more highly regarded producers do that, generally. Anyways, I love keeping up with them, and y'all should check their personal stuff out ❤

hi everyone, i wanted to remind anyone commenting that this video was meant to showcase the songs made by lyre. obviously music is very subjective and if you don’t like their stuff, i completely understand and respect that!!! but being hateful toward the producers or artists they’ve worked with is unnecessary. i’ll be deleting comments that are unnecessarily hateful to keep this from getting too crazy. let’s keep in mind that these are real people, and in most cases real women and girls, that you’re talking about!!!! discussion about music is great, but sexism towards the women behind it is not. thank you for being respectful🩷 also, as a couple commenters let me know, i got mitm’s release year wrong!! guess who came out in 2021, sorry for the mistake😭
